Losing a torghast run is legitimately the worst gaming experience I've had in years

What gets me is the contrast between the trash and the boss. The trash is frequently so boringly easy, and the boss is suddenly harder than anything else I fought in this game recently. One of them I just plain couldn’t beat (Patrician Cromwell, that damage is ridiculous).

Just… why such a sudden jump in difficulty?

Here we got your typical Example of a player that does not deserve to be any kind of a group activity for increased rewards. This type of player is the usual type that is use to instant gratification bs and only wants gear for no effort.

The exact type that makes modern wow continue to be crap for those that like a challenge instead of racerolling 1 shot ez mob, then being as geared as a heroic raider. In no time.

You player types. I really wish you could go back to games that reward you for minimal effort instead of making this game consistently Hello Kitty Island face rollish.

Great f-ing game design really.
Going 45minutes into a deep Torghast run up to the end of layer five just to find yourself infront of a mob that chain casts abilities faster than your interrupt comes off cooldown
GREAT F-ING GAME DESIGN

I have two options now: Play as Prot to be able to spam interrupt shields which is hella boring or play as group which completely invalidates the solo experience

15 years of game development and you can’t come up with interesting boss mechanics which a solo player can actually deal with? FFS

I agree OP torghast is stupid and should be removed and ppl that enjoy it should go play diablo and not force their boring gameplay into this.

Except Diablo is a ghost town game since idk how long now. WoW on the other hand constantly talked about.

Diablo, only if there is a new patch or a new dew info about D4 stuff. Never hear about it atm besides those times.

Also, i am glad blizz so far is acting to the majority feedback on this that likes challenging content, and not the minority.

Torghast is diablo and its not challenging it just takes too long…

Atleast it’s not the usual crap experience that you get when you do questing. Torghast is atleast a a new experience from a Gamplay Enviroment experience. (for gameplay layout stuff. Some specific mob types will always be the same yes but The floor layouts are ever shifting) and that to me never ever makes it boring af.

Torghast is actually nothing like diablo, but alright.

ow ok then i guess its not boring…ow wait it still is.

“SoLo As HuNteR” you should be able to do this as any class, not specific ones. I can confirm it’s a lot easier as BM, but still, Torghast is a load of boring grinding rubbish I do not enjoy.

Yeah for you i already heard.

But i guess you just dgaf about anyone else other opinion than your own about it.

Well OP made a thread about how it sucks and i agree. You are here defending it with your life.

Yeah well you do the same to. Since you already stated 3 times ‘‘it still sucks’’.

The irony.

it’s not just the “losing” part. even if you just mow town torghast it’s just embarassingly boring content. there is absolutely no way I’m going to do this garbage every week and I hate that it puts me in such a ridiculous disadvantage.

Torghast sucks.

To the point that I’m genuinely considering getting the most boring, spec-wide legendary for my Main so I don’t have to get more Soul Ash to craft 3 better/more fun ones.

Relentless Inquisitor covers every spec well enough to save the sanity I would lose by doing extra runs.

And the worst part is that there’s probably going to be another ‘storey’ or ‘tier’ of Torghast in future patches, where we go on to another 8 wings, each with 18 floors.

And they’ll all be grey, and HORRIBLE for a few specs (and a walk for others) and they’ll all involve rescuing someone else.

I pray they give us Soul Ash from other sources (good amounts, not Adventures’ sprinklings of Soul Ash) so we can leave Torghast for good after 9.0 is over.

oh it definatly pissed me off, i had managed to do one lvl 3 fine but the boss of another was all but impossible alone.
So from now on i do lvl 2 alone and if i do any higher it will be with a group.

I have been able to fairly easily do last weeks all layers (on first attempts as well) but i don’t have any interest continue it this week anymore. Grinding ashes for legendary doesn’t feel rewarding to me. I would rather have random gear and other items droppping from bosses just like in dungeons. It feels stupid to spend all that time there just to get some ashes that are for one item. I know later challenging mode gives other rewards too that come from achievements doing different layers but i would rather have just honest normal drops in there. To keep the killing interesting from start to end.

Unfortunately, this is the current way Blizzard is designing the game, based on punishment and ignoring player’s experience. You are going to find not that much understanding with the community as well, as many of them are pleased with this design and they don’t think is anything wrong with it.

You have a choice: you can spend a lot of time to reroll / get gear / group and expect things to get worse and worse and to have very little understanding and empathy towards your feelings, or you can move on from WoW. The choice is yours, but I am afraid there are not that many options on the table.

Alright after my last solo Ret try i went Prot and got a group together
After being in there for 1 hour + 2 people left and one idiot kept wiping and diminishing the death counter, it seems like once you enter with 5 people it doesnt scale down anymore to the current number of people in the group either

So i wasted over 2 hours now without having anything from it
Can’t solo and can’t group because randoms are fing idiots that can’t judge how much time they got left to play before joining a group

Only get reward if you win.
Losing gets you nothing* but waste your time.
Players feel forced** to do it.

*No consolation reward at all just make it all about winning which makes it a slap in your face if you don’t.
The suramar withered army training did it much better by rewarding based on how far you’ve made it. Still want to beat it but losing doesn’t feel like complete let down.
And you can’t really say the reward is learning anything to use in future runs either since pretty much everything is rng and changes each run and you keep nothing of what you gained from previous tries.

**I know no one is holding a gun to your head forcing you to do any content but most players feel they’ll be excluded from group content by the community if they don’t push their characters limit as much as possible.
