Lost character on Classic

I haven’t played/logged in on WoW Classic since Jan-2020. I have returned to play my old character. It was around level 45-50 (Undead Warlock named Toxic I think). I can’t find it in any of the Realms list, in fact ALL of my classic characters have disappeared. Following advise online i’ve deleted my cache, loaded every single realm to see if it will appear, logged in and out ect. Nothing works.

I don’t know the name of the Realm it was on… if I did that would help. Is there anyway to find the name of the realm it was on? Better yet is there a GM that can help make it appear again!?

I raised a ticket 18 hours ago but still don’t have a response. Pretty annoying when i’ve already paid for a months subscription

Thank you

Your characters are in the WotlK expansion, just open/download that game version.

How can I move them back to Classic, without paying for it? I would have liked them to stay on Classic vanilla.

Thanks for replying!

The Character Clone service has been retired. All clones that were not activated before July 26, 2022 have been deleted or will be deleted in the next few weeks. Customer Service cannot restore deleted clones or transfer active clones to different game versions.

If you had a WoW Classic character and you never chose to activate it in either WoW Classic or Burning Crusade Classic, then the Burning Crusade Classic version of your character has automatically been activated and will be available for play.

So, you have to level again, but easy, you don’t had any 60

You had to pay to copy your character back when tbc launched. There is no way at all to transfer your characters back to classic now.

This is a complete a joke, I have found the character on WOTLK. 5 days played time, level 50, now stuck on an expansion I don’t want to play… I came back for Classic vanilla… and now they expect me to plow another 100 hours+ to get back to where I was on Classic ?

Blizzard will be losing another customer for life if they don’t sort this.

No fresh servers and no access to old characters. Guess it means blizzard wants us to get some sun this summer and get those Vitamin D levels replenished instead of playing their game.

You just cant. Even with paying, it is not possible

Or you can just play game a new?

Blizz really F’ed be over then. How hard can it be for a GM to add a 50 undead lock to my old Classic account? naked with no gold would be fine…

What’s the problem to just level it again to 50?

He’s probably got limited to no free time on his hands. He only made it to 50 during classics lifespan after all.

I wouldn’t want to invest 2 years just to catch up to where I was years ago either. Probably just quit the game instead XD

But this time your character isn’t going anywhere. It will stay where you leave it indefinitely.

this is correct!

5 days of played time it took to get to level 50, so about 5 months it would take me to get back with only being able to play 1-2 nights per week a 1-2 hours each night.

Welcome to the reroll fest mate. We are all in the same boat.

Or just get some fresh air instead

This story is shared among many of us. Good news is, if you re-roll now, you will have may players to group with. I have levelled two 60s, one of which is the exact same character as the lvl 60 that got stuck on a WoTLK realm. I made friends. I had tons of fun. Give it a shot.
