Hello,
When I first started playing World of Warcraft back in 2008, The Burning Crusde was already released. I never had a chance to play WoW Classic. I am happy that after almost 15 years I have this chance again. Was little late to join (subscribed in February 2021), so still have many instances to complete. That’s why I decided to leave my one and only main character in Era servers.
There are already many topics created for this subject. I’m creating a new one hoping that Blizzard can take the problem seriously and take an action.
No one enjoys playing in an empty server. This is against the nature of an MMORPG. Currently the server populations are still low, even after the initial realm connection. The low population has already started effecting the experience of Era players in a negative way. My observations;
- PvE issues : Difficulties to find enough players for quests/raids/dungeons/world bosses
- PvP issues : I haven’t encountered any issues so far, but wait time for some BGs may be long
- Trade issues : Big drop on Auction House trade numbers (not enough sellers, not enough buyers)
Obviously, the reason of all these issues is the low number of players. The possible effective solution would be merging all servers in one respective PvP server and PvE server. I don’t know if this is feasible from Blizzard point of view, but each day you do not address this problem, the number of Era players will decrease further. I’m afraid eventually number of players might drop to a point that a One Server merge won’t be a solution anymore.
While trying to solve the issues with TBC, please don’t forget about the Era players.
