M+ deserter system only moved the problem

…to people just going offline as soon as they (themself) make mistakes, or it just goes a bit less smooth than hoped for (well, it’s week 2, what else is expected).

Seemingly kicking them solves the issue (too), as you can then leave freely without getting marked by the system (which is thus easy to abuse…fantastic idea, whoever came up with that…absolutely brilliant and well thought-thru (not)).

For real, reevaluate this system or just scrap it overall. So far it seems to only have shifted the issue from people leaving to people going offline. In S3, so far, I face more offliners than leavers in S1 and S2 together -_- apparently people are scared of the boom-boom.

Thanks a lot for that. Next time try to actually implement something to improve the situation.

So what im hearing is if you kick someone offline they should also get the mark, and if people stay online and refuse to move then report for gameplay sabotage.

the entire system was a bad idea and not needed.

Could be the case. Which is also part of the issue; a lot of this system is just unknown.

Still would be quite a bad implementation. You can’t “/disband” (yet) as there is some hidden threshold-timer, but you can kick them resulting in the ability to leave freely :man_shrugging:

It’s stupid they even added it since they made it clear that leaving isn’t against the rules.

Why even implement a system that indicates people are doing stuff that isn’t against the rules?

Hopefully they ditch it and apologise to us all.

Does anyone truly believe that this mark is gonna do anything? :joy:

The other way to “abuse” this is to still play, but play badly.

The system is flawed by a mile, and the only solution to the core problem is to play with friends.

To be fair every single thread on punishments predicted this.

Reporting players who sabotage must be skyrocketing the number of reports atm as well.

But the people who wanted this system, got what they wanted.

It still bothers be that people get called out for wanting this but the people who waste others time, are degenerate in keys, sabotate intentionally just because their main wasn’t invited, leave when people aren’t doing MDI stats in a 4 are somehow free from blame most of the time these kind of threads, Even though those same people are the ones who just changed tactics on how to be a toxic PoS in keys.

One negative doesn’t mean that the other point is a positive.

Yes, in M+ runs people can behave in undesired ways. But this system is not the solution or the right system to improve the situation.

The new system can be criticized without supporting degenerate behavior in keys. It’s not mutually exclusive. Making it seem that way is in fact shady practise at best.

told you so

soooo many times

but complainers didnt listen

i was ridiculed so many times but in the end like always i was right

feels good man

its so comical seeing how it backfires at the very crowd who was for years whinign about htis

its exactly the same situation as healer who whined about having to dps in downtime so blizard made their lives absolute hell now as answer to them being lazy in past :d

also no - please keep the system - i absolutely love it !

well maybe their were right in first place then

i bet this thought never occured to you

when you join chalenge modes in games you are usually required to perform

and if you dont perform - dont complain that others complain about you

m+ was abomination in this regarding seeing how many people were being constantly boosted

not anymore unless they pay up with gold before run

they had to do this else 80-90 % of abandon votes would be right after or during first trash pull when people see the opener dps and when you can more or less predict how run will go .

like last night i join streets on my tank - and when i see the 2nd pull of instance (big) which on fortified shoudl be with bl - without one and with 2 of dps being below me tank on aoe burst

well i knew its gonna be absolute slog

and it was - ofc we missed timer - because lets face it - people who do like 2-3 mln aoe burst in +7 dont know the mechanics of last boss there too .

Remind me again how going into a key and leaving immediately because your main wasn’t invited is the keyholder fault.

well not that i justify this behaviour but i understand it

and so should you

with the amount of declines some people experience in groups sometimes peopel have neough

i never did it

but for exampel on my warrior tank it took me like 30 declines to get into +7 streets yesterday

as a tank

imagine that numer if i was dps

The M+ abandon/quit problem is a human behavior problem, that no mechanical system can solve.

The problem is M+ community and people itself. It will never change no matter what system is in the game.

Who says they are blameless?!?!

That’s some reaching.

The kind of person that doesn’t care about other people’s runs and leaves isn’t going to suddenly care more because there is this system in place. They are going to find ways to not be forced to stay.

The issues people are having with the system were all predicted in the multitude of threads about this topic when it was being requested.

But they made the system as requested.

“Most of the time”

Litterally just had someone try and defend that its ok to join a key and leave when its starts just because their main wasn’t invited.

all they should have done just add a queue system to m+ and keep the optional pre made as well for those that don’t want queue up.

And before people say that it would put 500 score people with 3000 score people. No it would not. There is literally a scoring system just make tiers or requirements. Like let’s say if you beat all dungeons on +5 then you can queue up to +6 runs and so on so forth.

There is something wrong with those people.

I think I misunderstood you, I thought you were saying that about people pointing out the flaws.
