When the Turbo Boost event goes live on 14 May, it will include some additional opportunities for players who prefer Mythic+ dungeons.
The weekly quest that provides Puzzling Cartel Chips will now offer players a choice between killing 4 raid bosses in Liberation of Undermine or completing 4 Mythic+ dungeons. Additionally, the vendor will now offer a selection of trinkets from Season 2 dungeons, in addition to the previously-planned raid items.
Purchasing Hero track dungeon trinkets or Hero track raid gear will have no requirements other than the currency cost. This means that regardless of how you obtained your Puzzling Cartel Chips, you can exchange them for Hero track raid items or Hero track dungeon trinkets. The Myth track dungeon trinkets will require both the currency and having beaten the timer in all Season 2 M+ dungeons at Mythic 12 or higher (having unlocked the Resilient Keystone system). And of course, the Myth track raid gear will require both the currency and a victory over the item’s associated boss in Mythic difficulty Liberation of Undermine.
Our goal here is to ensure that players who enjoy M+ dungeons have a way to use this new event to obtain items they may have been chasing for weeks.
Now all you need to do is tune the trinkets appropriately such that the raid trinkets are not OP beyond imagining.
Also. Expand this to other items… I am still waiting for myth track pants to transform in the catalyst. And im sick of waiting for the Vault RNG slot machine to stop offering me capes and belts.
Kinda pointless for liek 99 % of m+ players because you get them when you no longe need them because you are liekly done with 3k score and ended season anyway but its still a nice change to have
Now add that achieving mythic gallywix unlock m+ trinkets and achieving lets say all 15s unlocks all raid items. Stop beating around the bush, its simple.
Hoooooooooooow can it be so hard to just listen to the ppl that play your game Blizzard? It drives me crazy. You are even making it worse with things like this.
They would need to do something like: +12s is 1st boss of mythic. +13s 2nd boss of Mythic… stuff like that.
Cause a +15 is easier than Gallywax mythic. A +17/+18 is more in line with that difficulty. But a +12 is harder than the 1st boss of the raid in Mythic.
All they need to do is balance out the trinkets. Thats IT.
To make it fair, they would need to change the rules for Raid as well. As in if you kill 4 bosses of the mythic raid (the first 4) you can buy gallywax gear in mythic. But until they dont change that, then they cant simply say that some +15s give you mythic gear from gallywax.
You are saying that, but m+ doesnt have 18% dmg increase from the reputation, ontop of boss nerfs that are happening late every mythic raid tier, so id say its +15/+16 m+ lvl of difficulty.
Ontop of that its 15-20 weeks till you obtain the mythic items this way. Post hall of fame.
I cant believe people are propagating the item scarcity this late into a tier, if people have bis gear they’ll push their content, m+ or try to improve parses in mythic or progress it for first time.
For casuals,I can only imagine how much fun my casual friends would have with items like BiS mythic since its unique and powerful weapon, which they never usually have, and him slamming delves with it will 100% tip off balancing.
So plus 18% damage on the 1st boss of Mythic means that now you should access those trinkets with a 10+ instead of with a 12+.
The problem is not that. The issue is that raid has 10 bosses, each with a different difficulty. And you are drawing a line in a M+ key level with the same difficulty.
So in the example you put above, a +15 is total overkill for the 1st mythic raid boss, but a total underkil for Gallywax.
You Blizzard has to first change how you aquire the raid trinkets in the raid first. They have to draw a line in a Raid boss and say: Do this and you gain access to everything. And then we can talk what is the equivalent level of difficulty in M+.
OR. They can do a 180deg and just make Dinars as they were in DF. Then we would have no problem at all. With anything. But that’s a different discussion.
While not ideal solution (we still have raid loot table vastly superior to that of a m+ one), this change makes the situation much more fair now, thanks for listening Blizzard.
Maybe giving delve players their own alternative way of “bad luck protection” would further smooth it out.
Would be nice if you added Necks & Rings too because they are often heavily weighted in to one stat which makes the BiS for a lot of classes only available through Vault slots.
Once again, you’re doubling down for no real reason. I don’t understand why there’s such stinginess around this at the end of the season. Why not just require us to kill four Mythic bosses to unlock any raid myth item from it? The current approach just feels unreasonable. These items will become obsolete the moment the new patch drops, which makes the whole situation even more frustrating. It increasingly feels like the focus is on encouraging people to buy tokens for carries rather than letting players enjoy the final stretch of the season. It really doesn’t make sense
