Does anybody else feel like these dungeons shouls be nerfed a bit?
There is a lot of unavoidable damage thar’s hard to heal (and I’m having troubles even as a ret paladin that is tankier than others).
I only tried 3 dungeons +2 and I already feel like it’s too hard to be a +2.
Not to mention the mechanics. Who on Earth had an idea to put Darkflame Cleft as a seasonal duneon? I get the “make dungeons challenging” narrative but the candle stuff takes a lot of practice and a lot of nerves to beat that boss when you can’t damage it every 10 seconds cause of trasporting the light and stayin within it.
Why did they have to change the perfect and most fun mechanic on Kul’tharok in ToP, which actually had some amount of roleplay in it, and even when it sucked for melee wheb they had to stand on the hands it was still FUN. Why did they change it into endless avoidance of moronic orbs (sorry for my language)? Who hated that? Why? It’s not like these new dungeons are better for anyone (example melee for rook dung, or cleft or priory) Shadowlands is far more superior when it comes to that and you can all hate me for it, but it’s the truth (cause I don’t hate it only because it’s a popular opinion to have).
Also, why is the last boss in rook hitting uou for 35% of aoe damage, and is it possible to avoid it? Where do you find a class that can run to a pillar put so far away for certain locations at certain times when floor is lava?

I agree I don’t understand why they changed the ToP boss.
I’ve actually depleted a couple of 2’s. The groups weren’t awful they just weren’t good. I genuinely think “bad” groups will struggle to complete some 2’s as they stand currently.
I feel sorry for people who like this season and this game overall. And it’s funny asf.

m+ just doesnt work without “learning difficulties” which were removed in S4 of DF.
most people - weak players - which are majority of players in reality - dont realise that they need to start each single season in m0 before they move to m+ weeks later when they are decked in upgraded champions gear ![]()
After few of 2’s yesterday, I have decided to quit this season.
It’s just unfun, overtuned, too many things to watch out, while doing master degree rotation.
We were full group of 635+ ilvl.
I have never seen such a difficulty spike in just +2 key.
Blizzard thinks it’s fun? Same as they think that people want to engage with 20 steps openers and bloated bars. Go see class representation, everyone wants to play Ret pally as they are 4 button miracle, but thats another problem.
I have no intention to sweat over +2 keys with 637 ilvl. Difficulty like this, oversaturation of active spells just by trash mobs, unavoidable dmg (poor healers again) will only cause further player retention, participation is already dreadful.
i did 3 m0s last night . at around 620 itlv m0s are quite a challenge atm . which is natural as they drop 636 itlv.
there is a lot of stuff in there which hits very very hard - and there is plenty of 1 shots
this season will be very “technical” from what i seen - either you have hroups who know all mechanics or you just ownt be timing m+ .
were aare heading into yet another failed season - aimed to destroy m+ which is hated by Ion .
its quite obvious with how rewarding they made raiding wth all the bonuses and rewards while making m+ very very hard.
they want people to raid - not m+
just to not be all negative - i absolutely love the new animations for mechanics - they nailed it for me - nobody can say anymore they dont see they are standing in fire ![]()
I think we are just in need of first learning the dungeons. Nobody presses defensives and as the healer i am ducking up my healing cooldowns. The season is just 1 day old.
I did 6 dungeons of +2 or +3 yesterday with groups of 630 - 634 (i started on 629). Untimed 1 dungeon (priory +3). Had a couple of wipes in other dungeons and still timed it. Timed Rookery +2 with 9 minutes.

You don’t know the mechanics. Don’t you have any fun just doing it once or twice and seeing the massive improvement and how something that was hard is now easy?
I failed a +2 yesterday. Today went back and 2 chested it on a +3. It’ll get easier, people aren’t even doing the basics right.
Of course if you just want to 3 chest a +2 and kiss your biceps afterwards you’re going to be disappointed.

that said - this season has amazing benefit for game in long long term - the new visialilzationf of mechancis are amazing and huge benefit for instance experience.
the downside is it shows just how much spell clutter is there in game and its honestly ridiculous at moments.

Usually 1st day of the season everyone is undergeared and nobody knows the mechanics.
Im sure there is some tuning to be done. 100%. But its a bit too early to say exactly where.

memeber when healers complained for years that they are forced to dps when there is not much ambient dmg ?

Healers are truly special creatures.
I think a lot of the “I ONLY want to heal” players dont realize what that means: Constantly spamming your group with aoe or single target healing checks, so you actually have something to heal.
I like dpsing as a healer, but I also like tough healing checks, so I dont mind either way. But i definitely prefer what we have now, over being a glorified 4th dps in shadowlands.

After having 1 whole afternoon of doing keys, i’d say this is just on point. This season doesnt seem to have too many unavoidable oneshots etc, it’s just the classic new season, new mechanics. We went in with a learning mindset in all the dungeons, and ended up timing a +10 eventho we still die to stupid stuff, but that’s more on our end than the tuning imo ![]()
Tbh I was playing in a premade on voice tho, which makes a huge difference from lfg, but then again non of us are m+ tryhards, so it evens out abit atleast. We are mostly casuals playing 3 ish days a week if friends are online, so keys will go alot smoother once people gets to practice abit ![]()
Healers are truly special creatures.
I want to heal AND dps… I think the attonement mechanics of DPriest and MW monk are something that all healers should have one way or another.
workd well for discs but for pala and mw its soso
mw is not enough to deal with high aoe and pally id on a cd and rng healing.
rsham is fine as modt of your dmg comes from acid rain and if you have nothing to heal you can buff it up with chain lightning, although the rng factor is terrible
