The current state of Mythic+ is honestly the worst experience I’ve had in all my years playing WoW.
Everyone’s a meta slave, only inviting DKs, DHs, and BM Hunters. Meanwhile, as a 719 ilvl Ele with 3.4k Rio, I sit in queues for hours just to get into a +16-17. It’s exhausting and demoralizing.
At this point, it doesn’t even feel like skill or experience matters, just whether you’re on the current “approved” meta list. That’s not what M+ should be about.
I really hope Blizzard adds a solo queue system in Midnight. If not, after 10 years of playing, this will probably be my last season. It’s sad to say, but the system feels completely broken for non-meta specs or premades right now.
Anyone else experiencing the same thing?
How are you guys dealing with this insane meta bias when trying to get into keys?
You don’t get invited because there are other elementals with more ilvl than you.
Many of them are rerolled RShamans that got there as healers weeks ago.
What exactly would this solve? Meta specs are meta for a reason.
Have you really tried to play keys like HoI16 with and with out meta specs?
With 3 meta DDs you can die 5 times and still have 1 min to go. With off meta specs you can play perfect with 0 deaths and still Deplete…
I play with friends. Exclusively. None are online? I dont play. EZ.
What blizard needs to do is the following:
0.1% title per SPEC. Not overall. This would make it much easier to acheive with off meta specs. Incentivizing their play.
Weekly tuning. No exception. A ±3% here and there for every spec would do a lot to prevent a stale meta.
Divorce M+ and raids. So much attention goes to raids its insulting. For example: the last tuning patch (3% nerf to DK, and Mage, and hunter buffs) were ONLY raid oriented.
