I dont knwo you and honestly i couldnt care less who you are. But its you who compalins about people leaving your keys which only mean one thing. You invite people who shouldnt be there . And when good people notice it they leave.
Even a very bad player can be 2700 if he Has enough time to join enough groups untill they will eventually carry them without leaving. Especialy when a lot of really good players run 20/21 for gv
Well you dont have to be giga chad. Like last night i leave 1 failed +17 group and by the time leader managed to whisper me insults which i reported and ignored i was already in different +17 group which we almost +2 . And my Bear is like 2150 score 433 itlv
Lesson is stop ignoring people who have compeltly no clue how to Play game. (And in this case how to use defensives on first Boss in bh)
but then other content for causal players is needed.
and m+ to the given level is pure causal content. i often tanked with ret lvl 7 and rarely need healing there.
I don’t understand your logic. how come my runs get disbanded so often? i get insta invites for 20s as hpal and i can’t remember that there hasn’t been a single untimed run for much more than a month.
and I know what you are referring to. but there it was something completely different. And I don’t want to deviate from the topic here.
This is ridiculous!. I never mentioned that people are leaving exclusively from my keys, nor did I imply that it’s a constant occurrence. It’s a general issue that affects players across the board.
Now, as for your comment about inviting people who shouldn’t be there, well, let’s have a little fun with it. Are you suggesting that I have some sort of uncanny ability to attract all the wrong folks? Maybe I should start calling myself the “Magnet of Misfortune”!
But in all seriousness, player skill levels can vary, and sometimes it’s difficult to gauge someone’s abilities until you’ve actually played with them. Plus, the system isn’t foolproof, and even the best players can have off days or make mistakes. It happens to the best of us!
And hey, let’s not forget that the notion of being carried is a bit exaggerated. Sure, there may be instances where players with lower skill levels benefit from more experienced teammates, but that doesn’t mean they’re completely dead weight. Everyone has their own strengths and can contribute in different ways.
Lastly, the idea of implementing a system that addresses leavers is not uncommon. Many other games have found success with such measures, as it promotes a more enjoyable and fair gameplay experience.
So, let’s keep things light-hearted and remember that gaming should be fun for everyone involved. We all have our ups and downs, but it’s all part of the adventure!
I never use comms in pugs. There is a chance before start we link MDT route if we are doing some invis/mindsoothe/shroud skip so others know and that’s it. 99% of runs route is the one everyone does and we expect everyone to know it. I might not even use voice chat even when I play with 2 guildies/online friends in the run. We might use however to make fun but not make calls during the run.
I believe vast majority of players do m+ pug. I don’t think many people play it with fix teams, and honestly the ones that do are usually very very top, like 0.1% players. 99% of population will favor m+ over raid because can login any random time they want, pug 1-2 keys, logout. You don’t need to follow a strict timetable like raid.
I believe where you find many leavers are the one we call clownfiestas. If you have a team of people trolling, clueless about the dungeon, that don’t really care spending some time to read and understand mechanics, or watch some videos/streamers and think they can ignore mechanics, obviously it’s a recipe for failure. Again I’ve prolly ran around 800 keys past 3 years, I don’t think I had more than 10-15 leavers to just drop the party for NO reason.
*obviously real life emergency happens, I also had couple times a year internet issue and when I came back 3-4 mins after DC party already had disbanded but it wasn’t a ragequit but provider issue.
Pugs bring diversity and a wide range of players into the game. They contribute to the social aspect and help sustain the player base. Many players rely on pugs to fill out their groups, experience new content, and progress in the game. Without PUGs, the player pool would be significantly smaller, and the game could lose a vital element of its appeal.
I’d be really interested to know what percent of raids and M+ is done by pugs vs guilds. Obviously playing with friends (usually) creates a better environment but the scheduling and roster management are major downsides.
It’s probably why roughly half of mythic guilds become inactive from one raid tier to the next within each expansion.
What we are saying is a leaver is the lesser evil then locking a group together that dont want to play anymore.
The toxicity of the situation would raise extremely high, and requirements for invites will sky rocket.
The day m+ leavers are punished, is the same day 2200 rio will be demanded in a +10.
Problem is, alot of people demand changes without thinking of the solution past theory. You have to account for how players will interact with the system.
And lets speak honestly. They may be Diverse buthuge number of them are trash quality and dont know most Basic mechanics .
Like if you die twice because you got hit by mamoth twice in nelt its not accidental only you have very low awarness. You may claim its accident and beg for peopel to not leave but if you then die again to being hit by spear on second Boss its not accident again. You are bad player WHO belongs on +11 not in +18 . And if you will keep quing hoping for miracle and that group will carry you then you will destroys hundreds of other keys.
What should be done about players liek this is much more important.
How do we błock people liek this from joining high keys .
And by you i dont mean you i mean general nad playerbase
You’re both using extreme cases to support your argument. One where someone leaves because he noticed that the mage put one point in the “wrong” talent and the other where someone died 10 times on trash.
M+ is basically a 30 minute bossfight, and there’s no obvious way to fix the issues this presents.
My guild does only mythic raid 1-2 nights a week. I pug heroic at least 4-7 bosses per week to fill the vault, usually for 7 heroic bosses it takes 50-55mins as pug. Its not like guild runs are 10 times better than pugs. I just avoid sark hc because its without voice chat. Many more guildies do pug heroic because they can do it when they have time and they can also join for couple bosses and leave, and then join another group for rest raid etc, or skip bosses they dont want. I would say there are a lot of people that pug raids.
It’s really puzzling to see some people attacking others simply for suggesting ways to improve the game. After all, forums are meant for sharing ideas, reporting issues, and fostering discussion. It feels strange when someone claims they’ve never had players leave their groups or denies that it’s an issue in the game. It’s as if we’re playing completely different games or living on different planets!
Personally, I consider myself a decent player. Most of the time, I’m one of the top DPS in my groups. In both BFA and SL, I managed to achieve CE once and cleared most of the other Mythic raids multiple times. My raid and dungeon logs have been pretty solid, 97% for raids and 99% for dungeon and I always make an effort to sim and watch tutorials and do my best in the game. Yet, there are still times when I get frustrated with certain aspects of the game, and today, the issue of leavers is what I’m addressing.
One thing that’s interesting to note is that when I quickly check the profiles of these people who oppose punishing leavers, I often see only green and gray logs! It’s quite telling, isn’t it?
I fail to understand why anyone would oppose the idea of implementing a system that punishes leavers. If you never leave yourself, what’s the harm in having consequences for those who apply for “In time” runs and bail before the timer expires? It doesn’t matter what their reason is, be it an internet disconnect or anything else. In games, just like in any other activity, people should respect one another. Having someone leave in the middle of a run is simply not fun for anyone involved.
And to those who claim that it rarely happens to them, well, even if that’s the case, it shouldn’t happen at all. We should strive for a community where everyone respects their commitments and sticks together till the end.
what im saying is i’d rather someone left, then sat in the group flaming players. i’d rather someone had the common decency to leave the the group, then berserk on players going mad.
I totally get where you’re coming from, and I agree that the statement about designing Mythic+ for premade groups in guilds doesn’t sit well. It can be frustrating when the game doesn’t fully cater to the needs of players who prefer different group dynamics.
But here’s the thing: Blizzard has made a lot of changes in the game before, and they can definitely fix this issue if they put their mind to it. It’s clear that many players, including people I know, have actually left WoW to play Diablo because they enjoy the solo dungeon running experience. This speaks volumes about the scale of the problem within WoW.
So, while it may seem like a tough challenge, it’s not impossible for Blizzard to make adjustments and provide more options for players who enjoy solo gameplay or prefer different group dynamics. With some attention and consideration, they can find a way to make the game more enjoyable for a wider range of players.
