If they combined the system’s in Torghast to M+, I think it’d be a huge hit. Going by point’s, the better you do, the better gear you get.
This would annoy some people, obviously (What doesn’t), but, it’d also gain massive traction and bring more people into actually doing M+ if they find they enjoy it, since the only difference would be the timer.
20 ilvl’s is a little low to be fair. Have it lower than M+, sure, but, not so low as to stop people from wanting to do it straight away. Or, make it so it gives the stupid resource needed for Korthia (Can’t remember it’s name xD). That way, solo players can queue up for it, and use it to increase the rep and increase their Korthia gear’s ilvl.
What I mean by more people are doing M+ is, raiding requires you to set aside a specific amount of time on a specific day 2/3 times a week. Not a lot of people can do this. M+ is done ALL day because you don’t HAVE to set a specific time to make sure everyone get’s there, as there’s no lockout.
I’d say playerwise, both M+ and Raiders are around the same, but, there’s defo a lot more M+ being ran than the raid itself. Worded it wrong, that’s on me ^_^.
I really think it depends what class you play that affects the enjoyment of it. My Blood DK can breeze through it, shadow priest however is a slow crawl and the recent anima powers they added in 9.1 have been nerfed to death.
yea i played it as protection paladin … was super easy honestly…
the thing which put me off was the lack of reward for doing it… i wish they added a bunch of low drop rate toys and transmogs to different floors to get or something…
it would make it so much more appealing to run it.
Then have it only go to around a +5-+10. I don’t think people care about the fact that they can’t do the higher keys, I think they’re more bothered about not being able to do the dungeon on a harder difficulty without the timer being there. Mythic dungeons are pretty much a joke, always have been. Mechanics have never really been important in a normal Mythic. But, as soon as you get to +5-+10, it becomes more important. You can’t just blast your way through.
I tried going into the layer 12 solo on this. Was able to solo 11 alright (Though slowly), but, at +12, EVERY pack of mobs pretty much one shot my pet, then one shot me. I didn’t even make it out of the first room properly before I gave up xD.
Yea i heard alot easier in groups means they turned torghast into another mythic+ with affixes and timers, i thought torghast was here for a solo challange.
Depends on the spec. And just like in 9.0 when people complained about layer 8 (or in some cases even layer 4) it gets hard nerfed with gear + box of many things.
Timer != stress. Timer is a core feature of m+. Stress is a consequence of players making it the way it is today just cause … actually i cant think of a reason why. Its not the end of the world if you fail a key so i honestly dont know why the stress.
It’s not the end of the world, but, thanks to the new score system added in game, it now will be looked down upon to not time a key, since you don’t get anything but gear from it. Most people who are doing high-ish keys, are doing it for score, not gear .
