M+ players have to do raid and "be lucky"

Even worse, when you’ve done that you still don’t have your BiS, because it can only drop from the vault, which is near impossible to get.

True. You are also running without your legs slot being not equipped, right? If you aren’t aiming for 0.1%, then you don’t need it anyway.

This is why I proposed in my earlier post (#8 in this thread) that crafting should become eventually the source of BiS for everyone. That way no matter what content you do, you will inevitably fill all equipment slots with what you want, and the only difference is at what speed, with Mythic raiding being the fastest. It even has the perk of customizing your secondary stats through missives so that you don’t even need Reforging which has been asked for quite a lot!

Could work, but not everyone wants to deal with professions and the Trade mafia is just stupid with their prices.

This is wher i see the biggest issue with the idea tbh.

Especially since by extension the resulting demand for Mats will cause thise prices to go up as well, and in todays age /culture of “don´t play, just swipe”, that could potentially lock many people that don´t already earn gold out the wazoo out of even being able to craft basic gear, much less their BiS… when exquisite wildercloth bolts start costing 500g again, and you need 20,+ 10 gleaming shards for 300g each and then missive sand such, suddenly the mats cost alone for a non bis craft starts at like 20k or so, plus the crafting fees… not to mention the prices of things like Smithing alloys or ingi parts just skyrocketing, meaning only the truly rich can affoord weapons or plate armor… and scribes effectively printing money in the form of missives…

It´s not that I´m personally averse to spending 100k for a BiS item, that’s peanuts for me. But I fear the trickle down /knock on effect might be truly catastrophic for many “average” players.
