Make so if you clear all dungeons on a m+ 12 your key wont deplete under 13 and so on. this will resolve alot. not the way its now. people will be willing to take people who havnet done the key on each lvl more. much more healthier for the game. let people prog better. make pugging better. i dont see any negativ by doing this. someone please tell me how this is not better? you will get stuck anyways on some point?
Because people don’t want to wipe in the same 12 or 13 (following your example) for ever and ever. They want to time it and move on to the next level.
So they wont invite just anyone. They will give people a chance, and if there is a wipe will kick people off and try again.
The end result would be identical.
Nah, but I’d happily let non-resilient keys have 2-3 charges so people may be slightly less picky with their group. Would make failures feel a bit leas punishing too, whilst not allowing to fail upwards like your proposed suggestion does.
Another way, is to make it like one-time immune for 1st n-minutes. Time depends on the statistics how fast keys are depleted, imho its 1st 10-15 minutes
Get friends to play with, makes night day difference, being anti social gets you no where, i kick players that do not even say bare minimum of saying hi when they join my group.
I play tanks healers and dps and i have no issue capping my vault at +10 and up on dps tank and healer every week, yes easier if you tank but i still have to keep up with the BS of people leaving regardless cos they need me to hold their hand.
So you Are telling me people Are not more willing to invite people, if the key will not Get depleted under the lvl of what «you» the keyholder , need to progress.? I dont know how you progress in m+. You telling me you just oneshot all keys? People who try to push high keys dont have this mentality, they know that mistaaakes happen and then want to try more in the same lvl key. Not spent time doing lower lvl keys to Get it back ut.

Clear all at +12 no deplete at +12 clear all at +13 no deplete under 13.
If you cannot clear all at +13 your key will deplete to +12
They need to remove key depletion altogether. Its against the logic of M+ to begin with.
This would also incentivize people to do their own key more and not spend 45 minutes in Q to get invited to a party.
Elaborate. How is it against the logic? If your group fails to time the dungeon on that level, it means that you aren’t fit to spam/farm that level yet.
Like if you fail a key the punishment is enough with how much time you used for nothing. What do you Get out of spam/farm a key you depleting? You Get experience for maybe one time for actually time the key. I dont see the problem.
The idea behind M+ is to push further with the key levels and increase your score.
Lets say you failed a +13 key. Logic dictates that you either;
- Need to play better,
- Need to get stronger,
- Or both.
Number 2 is usually not the case but assuming it is; you can do +10s, farm crests, upgrade items etc. which is not really relevant to key depletion discussion.
Its usually number 1 thats the issue. And for that, you do not need to get back to +12 or +11, a difficulty level you have already succesfully completed.
Ideally, you want to be able to continue playing at the same difficulty you have failed to complete and improve there, eventually managing to beat it.
Going back to +11 or +12, doing it again has no meaning, its just a waste of time.
If the idea behind key depletion is that there must be a “punishment”, time itself should be enough. There is nothing more precious than time itself for a human being.
“Wasting Time” is not a punishment. It is the weakest excuse from not having accountability for one’s decisions. You can literally slap it onto everything in existence, and claim that is unfair that it punishes you further.
Nothing. But the fact is, according to game design, you are not ready for it.
Well, yes it is relevant. That game makes sure that you aren’t dependent on other key holders, therefore it is your key which assumed to be used for farming.
See above, but I will go further here. This victim complex have to stop. Just because you experience something and only notice the negative side of it, it doesn’t mean that that is it’s purpose.
Keys must deplete to avoid people failing upwards. If you don’t have it, little Jimmy will spam +10s every hour of they day, while having the performance that is not even enough for a +2.
Of course, because of Jimmy, 95% of these runs will fail. But it doesn’t matter, according to you, that other 4 people have to waste their time because of that.
