Just wanted to point out something that’s pretty obvious if you’ve done any amount of M+ in Season 2 of TWW. The loot pool from dungeons is completely bloated and full of garbage, especially trinkets. If you compare it to raid, it’s not even close. Every spec has a cleaner, more relevant loot spread from the raid, so your chances of getting a good vault is very high. In M+, the chances of getting something actually useful from the Vault are way lower because you’re rolling against so many filler or poorly designed items.
This affects everyone — every spec has this issue. You can easily look at your BIS lists and see that in raid, most drops at least make sense. In M+, you’re just hoping to dodge junk.
One idea: let us pick a wishlist of like 15 items we’d want to see in the Vault from M+. Still random, but at least it’s scoped to gear we might actually use. Right now it’s just too frustrating.
Not asking for free BIS, just for the loot to be relevant. M+ shouldn’t feel like a slot machine every week.
Right now healer can get 13 trinkets from the dungeons for example…
Its truly amusing how you literally must pray you wont roll trinket in any slots, because the chances are that it will be a hot garbage (actually 100% for most of the specs if you can get the hc raid bis).
No idea why we need 90 trinkets in a single season only to use 3-4 out of them and avoid the rest for the whole duration of the season after you burn yourself with one of them during the first few weeks.
Workshop deserves a special award for polluting the vault loot table so successfully.
Priory one feels like the scam, if you mean the signet. The hype around it is barely warranted. But even if we ignore this, your chance to roll a trinket you actually need is ~0.
As long we have n+1 kujo flames and Remnant of Darknesses on the table, I would rather just not see trinkets drop at all. Too many bad ones, too few usable ones and most 678 m+ trinkets are anyway inferior to the hc raid ones, so yeah I would happily ban that slot from my vault.
At least if I get a bad stat wrist I can hopefully catalyst it into something less bad.
Not so with trinkets (I would so much like to catalyst the signet into a house of cards or that peak design workshop staff into the raid mace, but sadly cant).
The drop rate itself is brutal. Sorry to use myself as an example, but I’ve been chain running Theater of Pain for over two weeks straight trying to get 1-handers. Nothing. Not even a sniff. How is that fun? How is that rewarding? How is that anything but discouraging?
I’m not asking for free BiS. I’m asking for a fighting chance and a system that respects my time even a little.
I vote to remove the vault we never had them in early m+ seasons Legion/BFA and to be fair most of you treat it as its a given right to have an upgrade.
Any time a trinket from M+ is actually good, Blizzard nerfs it into the dirt. Take the one from ToP it was a solid tank trinket. Smashed it into the ground
we had to do a 20 back in Legion to get a weekly box that gave us on par with mythic raid (with no choice of items like now) so why the “lol” you have nothing of use to say ?
Oh its you on yet another alt that thinks only your point matters yep going to leave this cess pit of a thread because its yours and you only like your voice.
?
I am not sure I am parsing that correctly, but if I do then I sense some disturbance in the power.
In legion we had titanforge, so even a wq could technically give you mythic raid ilvl. Higher base ilvl better chance.
In legion the maximum weekly was m15 and we had no hero achievements or anything at all, just a single Keystone Master achi which required timing a key on m15 (and even that gave nothing apart from an artifact appearance).
So you do not remember the lil box in the order hall you used to get for doing a key per week ? or the weekly quest on the mission table for a raid quest ? neither of which has anything to do with the OPs post and my suggestion of simply removing the vault and saving the whine.
Regarding the mission table I vaguely remember some EN NH and TOS quests but those only gave normal ilvl, so I mostly ignored them and did the gold ones instead when I could.
Btw I would agree with the no vault style if +12 now has a chance to drop myth track just like raid bosses do and if the vault removal also affects the raiders.
I would actually prefer getting loot from playing the game, instead of from the weekly slot machine.
This is why I liked TF. It made the weekly a lot less important and rewarded midweek activity.
Right now the only thing I am absolutely certain about is the fact that the m+ loot tables really need a major pruning, because there are too many universally useless items (trinkets) and that m+ vs raid trinket balance is in a shameful state.
Dungeons could simply have weekly cd for myth track drop chance.
8 raid bosses and 8 dungeons every season, it could work well.
The argument is that, we dont need so many trinkets if only a precious few a tuned so that it does worth wasting a vault loot on them. Blizzard has already proved they cannot even balance 10 trinkets to be around ilvl appropriate within a single season, so I honestly cant imagine them fixing the tuning of all the garbage trinkets we have this season.
And in fact we dont need m+ to drop any trinket at all if raids are anyway going to outclass them to this extent.
The ultimate argument is that if X trinket is 665, then it should perform like Y in 665, or at least as close as possible.
We could not be further from that right now.
This has multiple consequences and one of them is the vault being polluted with a ton of DOA items.
Posting from my main actually, what about you? Why are you even seething like this lol
I didn’t act anything special, just wondering what is your solution?
I play C tier healer, what hubby boosting? Lmfao. And can’t you have a normal conversation at all?
