I have the same problem. None of the proposed solutions worked for me

Having the same issue. None of the proposed fixes worked for me.

How on earth has Blizzard allowed this Priority 1 critical issue to be left unfixed for nearly a month now???!!!

Same here, Macbook M1 pro. None of the fixes proposed worked for me

Blizzard, what are you doing?

Same issue on my side. My friends and I bought Dragonfly a few days ago but we still can’t play because of this issue. It’s insane that the game has been unplayable for a month.

Hi, I sent a friend request to you on discord to receive the link. My name’s Endoplasmic.

Petition we should receive a refund / minimum a 30-day token for this period.

I just added you on Discord (cheeex), and waiting for your message, thanks in advance! <3

I think I found a solution!

These was the exact steps I followed:

  1. Switched to beta and removed /Applications/WorldOfWarcraft folder
  2. Tried to install, failed
  3. Closed the BattleNet app and all its spawns from Monitor app
  4. sudo rm -r /Users/Shared/Blizzard and sudo rm -r /Users/Shared/Battle.net
  5. Open Battlenet, LOCATE the game in /Applications/WorldOfWarcraft and hit “update” (while ignoring the fact that I have a green ribbon with “update available for battlenet”)
  6. Works!

edit: the fact that this is the 69th reply makes me smile

This did not work for me…

Same on Pro 14 M1 Pro

Add me on discord (cipopescu) and I can send you the Data folder containing the Indices one. Someone said something about it being the required one

I just got the indices folder from Grovekeeper and replaced mine with his. Now downloading the game from scratch … Everything is working as it should be. So this is indeed the fix …

Thanks! Now it works on my system too. But I had to hit that green ribbon with “Battlenet update available”. It didn’t work without that. But honestly, Blizzard needs to fix this as soon as possible. It is unbelievable that we have to waste our time with such problems. Especially with an active subscription. :-/

All these methods don’t work on my M1 14 Pro. The subscription needs to be canceled, it’s a shame for Blizzard and a humiliation of the players that we should not tolerate in 2023

This made it work also for me.

Anyhow, I had to combine somehow every hint and create a new macOS user:

  1. The hint of you guys (switch to beta and try to install it with this one + updating via the green ribbon).
  2. Then I tried setting the user rights as described above. Anyhow, this didn’t solve it.
  3. Afterwards, I created a new user account on my MacBook as this seems to be a access right issue (with no admin rights, admin rights might also work).
3.1) Afterwards, I gave the the newly created user as well as the old one read + write rights for the entire “World of Warcraft” directory + subdirectories (from the new created user, for this I used the login data of my first user [admin])
  4. Then after starting battle.net from the new user, the game download finally works. I’ll let you know, if I can start the game from my primary user afterwards…

Maybe it is enough to just

  1. use the “standard” battle.net version (=not beta) and try to install it from here. This will fail (as we all know).
  2. Create a new macOS user.
  3. Set the file rights that both users have full read write rights for the entire WoW directury.
  4. And start battle.net with the newly created macOS user and try downloading the game from here now.

Anyhow, those are way too many workarounds.
=> Please, Blizzard, solve this with the next battle.net version
=> And start supporting Apple Silicon natively (for battle.net)

more than 10 persons messaged me on discord to give them the Data folder and they all confirmend it worked after. Message me on discord, as I said a few days earlier

I tried rights with app management > disk management,
Close all Agent apps that keeps popping up 100%
Deleted folders , reinstalled battlenet.
Read /Write on all folders for warcraft
Now waiting for the fix with a pre set of data to see if it works, messaged a guy on discord.
Blizzard (Blue tag) replied ± 15 days agoe, and we are still trying to get this fixed?
Blizz should know that not all users come on forum, is there a refund button anywhere?

nothing works, i tried everything…agent popping up and using 100% of CPU, we should sue this company for degrading our CPU life-span thanks to this garbage agent stuff

I have also added you, mindflayer
