Mac issues - CRASHING, LAGGING AND STUTTERING AFTER 8.3

This is the second time this happens, both times during BFA. Not seen it in the years before. Last time they did not work overtime for it. There was a fix ready on friday but to regression test everything they waited until monday, tuesday the fix was rolled out.
I’ve had two crashes today (saturday). One while waiting for a rare in vale of eternal blossoms, and one while doing not that much in Ironforge. I though Ironforge would be safe as it’s not very taxing on the graphics card. I have a 2017 imac with 580 video card by the way.

after 10 days it is still a piece of s…
i’ll never install windows on my mac, i hate it because of several problems…
i can bet if windows users would have this “issue” it has been solved in 1 day. funny isnt it?

We need a solution as soon as possible, although we are a minority community of MAC users, we have the right to be able to enjoy the game like any other user, we pay the subscription just like others, and according to the game system it gives the option of being able to use MAC, for Therefore we have every right to be assisted and to carry out the pertinent actions to restore this problem, it could not be that we have not been able to play for more than 10 days.
Are you going to return all these days that we are losing our subscription?

I am not going to install Windows on my MAC to be able to play, if I bought MAC it is to use the Apple operating system.

Sincerely it is very embarrassing.

Greetings from wow Spain.

11 days. What a shame.

Ye, every “peoplefull” zone is instant freeze, so we need to hard reset our macs. Fix this annoying issue. Helllooooo?!

Season 4 has now begun and I still can’t compete or start working on improving my character to be better at competing (m+ /rpvp). Surely Blizzard will work on a solution to compensate the time we lost being unable to play because of this issue. However I am more concerned about how competitive players will be brought back in to the competition as we are at a dire disadvantage now. I know devs read the forums, so please take the competitive part of the game in to consideration. Thank you

The sound of silence from CS is deafening…
Day 11

  • Still many latency and crash issues - In other words game is not playable on Mac unless you deal with the reboots and freezes
  • AH now seems to work well, but items sold before 1st fix still not rewarded in gold
  • No compensation message from CS whatsoever regarding loss in Gold, playtime or progression.

I am seriously interested what Blizzard has for a reason to NOT live up to decent support behaviour if not applicable law when it comes to compensation.
Can someone in CS perhaps give it a try?

Friends! I have the same problem, it hangs for 10-15 seconds and throws it out of the game. Other games are trial, there is no problem! Please correct this problem, it is not possible to play. My mac
MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2018 Touch Bar 256GB

guys, this is discrimination against Mac users! :pensive:
11 days still waiting…

I simply cancelled subscription. There’s no point in paying if they don’t fix it.
I suggest you do the same, otherwise they won’t think this is critical.

I was thinking about waiting until the next Wednesday to cancel subscription, see if they will actually fix it. 2 weeks should be more than enough.

But it seems I would need to renew subscription to see that day, so unless I’m compensated for 2 weeks, I’ll cancel sub for bfa for good.

At this point they’re just mocking us by pushing a fix that makes things even worse.

I’m just in shock! We pay money, and they have not been able to fix the problem for the second week! And there is no information from them! It is necessary to throw a couple of reports in the game

Oh my days the crashes today are unbearable! Literally macbook shut down itself for 4 times in the past three hours, crashed at least 15 times for 20secs each time, ending up killing me from simple mobs or rares!!! Too afraid to even try do the vision as once bitten end up being twice shy, crashed before and lost an opportunity to upgrade the cloak! Cant even hope to raid with guildies as crashes ruin everything!!! Please Blizzard do something, us macbook users want to enjoy playing the game as well!!! :frowning:

So, still at stage 6 of the HoO scenario. Beachball, and the screen freezes. I can still click on UI elements though, sound and music plays, and I can hearth out to Nazjatar. Screen is still frozen on the Vault of Lights during this process. No crash log. Minimising into a window doesn’t fix anything.

From the console error log: World of Warcraft (Metal)
Thread: 0x5bf5a
PID: 43108
Execution of the command buffer was aborted due to an error during execution.

Gods sake it is already annoying i was upbeat all this time but even i cant stay silent any more. This is very unacceptable. All i can do at the moment is level alts without crashing then cant even go to any dungeon because the moment i enter its wheal of death time . The only good thing for me its dosnt crash my Mac any more it just freezes heats up and then after like 20 sec it lets me tab out and Forcequit the game. Then i have to restart. I would post error log if i knew where to find them but we need a fix i really want to play Vision bat at the moment im just saving Vesels.

Had the same issue on two alts

Sadly I’d just renewed my 6 month subscription a week before 8.3, otherwise I’d have cancelled by now. Unbearable lag and crashes every 5 minutes with seemingly no care from Blizzard. Really stupid.

Same here! Done absolutely everything to make sure the Mac can run fine but despite it all, the game crashes on everything other than world quests. Been impossible to finish the Halls Of Origination Scenario and can’t do any PVP or Dungeons. Really frustrating because we’re going to be very behind by the time this is fixed, not to mention the waste of paid game time.

Same here. After the last Patch it’s a little bit better, because my Mac is not going to freeze completely and I can force quit WoW. But the game is still not playable for me, if I have to restart it every 15min.
