Macro that can get you banned?

So them scanning your computer for the program being active isn’t them being able to know?

Also, they can scan the timing of your actions and see if they all occur within a set pattern.

They probably do this. If the time interval randomness is smaller than some preset “human error” interval then it may rise a yellow flag that triggers further checks on that account actions.

Do what u want mate. Worst case scenario u get a warning :stuck_out_tongue: like everyone else…I’ve seen worst kind of cheating and I dislike cheating in games.

Ah yes the good old AV macro, wonder if people will still fall for it

That right there is considered botting, the rule is - 1 key press 1 action.
This has been clarified multiple times by “blue” in multiboxing threads over the years.

They have no issue with us using AHK to replicate/broadcast key presses to multiple client windows - but it HAS to be 1 hardware event to 0-1 software events.

Meaning you can press a key and client 1 uses charge, but client 2 does notting or something else entirely.

You might be thinking - “lol yeah but how will they ever find out”, the answer to that is quite simple, humans do not have perfect timing and if you always switch to defensive stance 1000 ms after thunder clap their anti botting software will see this and flag you.

Not possible, maybe you were playing burning crusade but not vanilla. In vanilla the api had no restrictions, and plenty of addons were doing complex decisions and multiple actions, and none was banned.
So that restriction could only exists in the developers mind, because it was not enforced.

1 to 1 Input to Action is the mantra in the multiboxer community, it’s the thin line that makes it stay within the tos and not be considered botting. Same applies to external macros like programmable keyboards and mice, if it does a sequence of inputs from one physical press then you get issues.

However nothing prevents you from writing a script that advances through the steps that you tried to do automatically if you bash the button rapidly, that’s perfectly fine. It accomplishes the exact same thing, but stays clear of the automation / botting that is the reason why the rule exists

One keystroke press = one action

If you break above rules then you might be banned.

Multiboxers have some different story btw.

I am not thinking about the API but external macro programs like the one included with the mouse the OP has.
