Is it possible to fit shatter into a lvl 40-ish AoE build?
I’d like to do a mix of AoE and questing to give a good balance between efficiency and fun but finding it hard to create a build that works for both.
Single-target killing without shatter is really, really painful but AoE without imp blizzard and permafrost is basically impossible.
Can anyone suggest a build that would work for solo questing but then also makes AoE pulls possible, when the right opportunities arise?
At level 40 you are either aoe or single i quested at level 40 without problems with aoe build just go for aoe build…not having 50% crit to frozen targets does not ruin your questing.
I found that without shatter, I could not kill a mob of equal level with 3x frost bolt - Nova - 2x Frost bolt so ended up having to circle kite with fire blast and CoC. That’s super inefficient and means a tonne of downtime as well as occasionally pulling unwanted mobs.

Shatter? Are you serious? Its doesnt make +50% to crit chance. Its add +50% to your CURRENT crit parameter. If you have 10%, you will get +5% only if target FROZEN (not chilled). Its probably worth in pvp, but in pve…
That’s incorrect. It’s 50% additive. Was in vanilla, is in classic.
Yeah you’re completely wrong on that part. It adds 50% crit chance to frozen targets, it doesn’t increase your critchance by 50%, that would be terribly weak.
