I don’t see the situation improving at 60 either, dispellable icy veins on 3min cd, arcane surge useless, arcane blast crap in pvp with pushback and long cast time, arcane missiles inefficient, arcane spells range is atrocious
Fire mages aren’t great in pvp, dots break sheep so living bomb not a good idea in situations where poly is important, less survivability
Frost with ice barrier/icy veins/armor being dispellable/purgeable and frostbolt pushback means getting frozen ice lance is unlikely
Groups don’t want mages, they’ll take priests, druids, hunters, rogues, warlocks, paladins, shamans, warriors
If I wanted to PvP I’d play literally any other class :')

Not arguing any points, cos I haven’t played mage. But man being deleted with arcane surge for 800 dmg feels bad man, also I saw some vods of it being 1k crits feels giga useless I agree. My poor warlock with Sacrifice (~500hp) + my own ~800hp being deleted with Arcane Blast + Arcane Surge, giga useless…
Look how xaryu does Play mage. He uploaded Lot of content in YouTube dueling. He is owning it. Frost spec with living Flame i think . Mage is strong

lol yeah on a 2 minute cooldown, only if you have 4x stacks of arcane blast already AND it has to crit.
Any decent enemy would cut down a mage before he can dream of getting 4 stacks of interruptable, pushback filled arcane blast in a row. A single interrupt or stun would make it impossible to chain.
If you’re letting a mage cast uninterrupted for 10 seconds then critting you, you’re the one that needs to git gud.

Actually if u watch the vid, the mage did 966 (283 + 683) dmg without any stacks and without any crits, that’s usually enough to delete some cloth player. (And imagine one of those do crit). “Stun and interrupt” with frost nova and sheep, like cmon man, if u letting people get close to yourself as mage that’s ur issues as a player. 2 min cooldown, well the opponent is already dead, is he concerned that u cant delete other player in next 2 minutes?

Did they stealthbuff arcane surge? I watched ziqos stream a couple days ago when he tested it in bgs and it was pretty underwhelmed because it hit for around 250-300 with decent gear
Mage being crap? Good one. Mages literally get free wins against any class aslong the setup/range is correct, LB+blink is all you guys need, it is almost a no brainer. Warriors can’t even charge a mage due to LB being 35y and blink again.
*this is almost the same for facing paladins

It is actually 41 yards with a talent… U don’t have to even blink, just spam it outside of any threat. But yeah, mage is bad, I forgot 
can’t do much with 300mana after that.
I like the way that video guy edited out all the useless empty mana deaths once you get your single kill. Or flash your 8 minute evocation :')
Ah sh*t can’t delete players every 30 sec, what a bad class… Have to EVEN drink mana after that

Without spellpower Living Bomb does 142dmg +72 explosion over 12 seconds.
What the hell kind of PvP situation is a warrior in to chase a mage for more than a minute with no other factors? How long does it take to run from one WSG base to the other?
So, with the right spec i can potentially kill one person instantly and then i’m oom. and i can kite a warrior dumb enough to run in a straight line. BIS class?
Hows a meta warlock with master channeler life drain compare? Or pre-nerf hunter scorpid madness. “Gitgud” or “L2P” is the most common response in pvp, often from people who play classes that you don’t have to be good or learn to play. Most hunters were winning pvp just by sending their pet in.
