Mage 'Study' Ability

A bug i have noticed when playing forever on my mage, that once turning an arcane book in to the library in the mage tower, the quest completes and you are granted the ‘Study’ ability. Im under the understanding that this ability is to be used within libraries to acquire more decipherable scrolls but when using the ability, it just brings up the professions window and nothing else.

This ability also doesnt show up in the spellbook at all once granted and upon logging off and loging back in, the ability vanishes completely from the spellbar with no current way to recover or ‘Re-learn’ the ability.

I’m not sure if there is already a workaround for this or not or if any other class specific new abilities are similarly affected? But thought it was worth raising in here in case it is an actual bug.

There’s another tab on the professions screen that opens up the mage profession “Comprehension” or whatever it is called.

I am hoping Blizz will decide to let these drop only for mages, having to pick these up is quite annoying, and they aren’t really worth selling on the AH either.

Feel free to send them all to “Nokandel Blueskrag”

I’ll take another look tonight! when I looked initially there wasnt an extra tab and only showed the comprehension spell but as far as im aware the study ability is a separate one that can only be used in libraries? I hope they shed some more light on this as i think its quite a cool addition.

I have the same issue and i don’t see another tab

wish i could post a screen shot

After speaking to some other players, apparently this ability has been temporarily removed due to it not working / bugged, so fingers crossed we see it return either soon or on release at least.
