well there is a workaround doing so today, but it is bannable tho.
I want MOP CM sets as toy too, who would say no to those shaman TOTEMS on the shoulders.
And in all seriousness, instead of asking for something even better than what we got in the past, all you want them to do is recycle past stuff.
Why not ask for even more improved versions of Mage Tower skins instead of the same thing?

It would also be a nice alternative to actually fully bringing back looks.
I don’t think anything should be completely unobtainable in WoW, so making it ‘personal use only’ seems like a good option.

Well I do like how it looks, so why not? Not saying I would say no to new stuff, or even a remake of them either.
Seeing how this tier 2 remake turned out, can’t say I liked all of them .- sure some where cool, but some looks just better the OG way , in my opinion.
EDIT: bring back the old, bring in new flavour, overload me with transmogs and items - Would be cool with new weapon skins too, as well as the old ones.
But some stuff, just looks better how they are made the first time around. Why the need to remodel perfection

But this specifically is about these particular skins. Which can no longer be obtained, so it’s logical for people to feel disappointed by that.

You have transmog and mount hunters and by some peoples logic they should be unobtainable because that patch has been and gone.
I would just like to farm the Mage Tower appearances. I’m not asking for them to be free. I want to earn them.

That topic keeps coming back so often, and I always see more pros than cons.
I was there, I got my frost dk appearance back when it was challenging. I don’t care if it’s easy now, which it relatively is for that tier set recolour. Just bring them back. They’re well made assets, why let them gather digital dust?
It’s not a competition. No prestige related arguments make sense.
Mind you I would prefer if it still comes with an adequate challenge personally. I don’t want a walk in the park, I enjoy challenging single player content. And above all, make more challenges like that.
Those mini class themed tier sets that were in the TP? Waste of content opportunity, they should have made some MT challenge like, or class themed quest.

Come on it’s not that hard to understand the OP’s point of view even if you don’t share it 
He was told that if he put in the effort at that time he would get mogs that no one else would ever be able to get again and that is what he enjoys - and now he feels that he is cheated if Blizzard gives these appearances again.
Yes there are arguments why Bluzzard might do it nonetheless (if only that seven years or more have elapsed) but that doesn’t mean he isn’t entitled to be disappointed.
My personal opinion is that there are more pros than cons in releasing these appearances again (please note that I did get quite a few of them back then around 22 I think so this is not self-interest) but that doesn’t mean his opinion is not valid.
