Think they have lost many. I have unsubbed aswell, but that was mostly to be able to fill out that form u get when unsubbing so i could tell them how i feel about the tuning of MT and scaling of old items.
I’m struggling with the tank one, but that’s because It’s been a few years since I really tanked.
watching this guy made me realise it’s really just a matter of understanding the fight and I’m CLOSE now.
Was the same for the healer one, had not healed for like 5 years and could not even get past the first mobs in the first wave but I keept at it and managed it by improving more each attempt, was honestly a very good way to get back into healing.
He still has more stats with the items he’s still wearing than a fully geared SL character, so not really impressive. … Or well, it’s impressive to show how bad dthe scaling is, I guess.
Don’t bother with that person, in another topic the comment was “Nice private server vid” or something like that becase what that person was doing was not possible in Naethir’s opinion, but as soon as we pointed how that it wasn’t a fake, the video was dismissed because the guy was using consumables (as if 30% less HP, no trinkets, and lower stats compared to a normal SL character isn’t enough of a limitation already).
Do you even know what gold sink mean dude?
If you spend your gold in ah…youre giving it to players…and no …ah fee isnt a gold sink.
Spending half a milion gold in AH for consumables, gems, gear etc for mage tower and then run to forums where you cry how you lost your gold while still failing it is not a gold sink…it just mean youre bad and trying to find loopholes and wayarounds to make it easy for you. Ppl think that if they go SoO and gem their gear that then MT becomes a joke. And after realising theyre just bad a no gear in world help them just pushover the tower and skip the “learning and progress” phase of MT completely they come to forums asking for nerfs and canceling subs over a transmog.
Thats not a gold sink…its quite frankly a stupidity.
I mean, tell me the MT is permanent and I’ll make this part of my routine. Plenty of mogs I haven’t collected, and I don’t mind brushing my alts up on whichever expansion’s professions are most relevant.
But with a limited availability? I’d have to push a bunch of characters through those raids in rapid fire, and they may well not get useful loot. Really don’t like it when the game tells me when and what to be doing. Needs to ask me what I want to do today.
For me it is not even interested to look at the mount and farming the gear for the different chars. I do not even have a character for all the 7 challenges Maybe i would level a couple chars just for this when the MT would be up for forever. But now, useless.
Oh, nor do I. But if it was permanently available, I can imagine trying for it. I’d kind of welcome a reason to level the missing classes.
My current problem with MT is:
It seems like only the best players I know have beaten it at all. I would guess around 10% of players total, just based on seeing discussions and mogs/werebears. I doubt even 5% have the 7 challenge mount.
I don’t feel like I’m in the top 10%. I’m not sure I’m in the top 30% (although I will confidently heal through an M+15 or 16).
I can’t imagine any way I can possibly become the 10% within any sort of limited time frame. A year, maybe? A few weeks, no.
I definitely feel like I would need the edge provided by old gear and consumables.
I don’t have any old gear and consumables.
Which means I will need to acquire those. This will take time. But the MT has limited availability.
On the whole, it’s demoralising AF if you consider yourself an average player, and solo content is conspicuously being pitched at a high percentile. I’ve hit the point where I’ve read up on it, tried it a bit, gotten quickly overwhelmed, failed completely, and come to feel I won’t get further no matter what I do.
Maybe I’ll have another shot over christmas, maybe not. But to really engage me, I’d need to know that it is permanent and old consumables will not be nerfed, or that it will be made easier in future appearances, and I’ll stand more chance in spring.
But it is pwrmanent. Just coming in intervalls. After IT will finish now you will have 4+ months to slowly collect gear old gems old enchants. IT revitalises “old world” and “old proffesions” . Mage tower Has enormous potential for future types of “old-always new content”
If it was permanent then I’d probably work on getting the gear and consumables for a bit, then book a week off work when I feel ready and go for it. But I don’t want to be told that I need to take my next week of work when MT is next up ¬_¬
