I dont care about your main.
I used warlock because thats what you are posting from to try and illustrate that all classes have strengths.
But hey, you believe what you want to believe its not going to affect me or the game. Blizzard dont balance the game based on forum posts, they collect data points from every single person playing every single class and spec. They can see what is happening exactly down to the 0.01dps. And they will balance it accordingly.

If you have a tank and a melee dps in your group then no you don’t, it’s about seeing who can deal with what. Our mage sometimes doesn’t spec into his dispell when the tank and I can deal with the afflicted.

Two people handle all interrupts in your group? Anyways, mage have both. Dispell and interrupt

Just because a player with a good rating says something doesn’t mean its gospel. You should stop using your hubby as a reason. It wouldn’t be hard to find a better rated player than him that disagrees with him.

Yes mages are strong on utility, so are druids. Everybody benefits from their buff. Survivability and damage.

They can dispel poisons and curses, stealth, combat res, have a group healing CD (tho its nerfed). Vortex and typhoon are both great and can be used together for even better results. They have a one minute group speed buff and also a mass interrupt (incap roar) altho its a bit clunky to use. They also have innervate.

I’ve probably not covered everything. Sound like its on par with mages to me.

I don’t use him as reason, I also have my own thinking and I see how mages are clearly better than any other caster. Utility/damage, they have it all.
