I’ve had several Major Rejuvenation Potions on Shazzrah full day on AH (as top offer) without a buy.
I consider those potions to be The Best choice for ranged DPS cause they provide Mana and HP every 2 minutes.
They are priced 3.7 gold/pot considering that 3 gold is a price to make them they are not overpriced… yet nobody wants them.
I am more interested in philosophy behind the rejection of the potion, few of those potions won’t make me rich… I am not whining about sale itself but rather why people reject that potion in general.
a) ranged DPS in a raid setting shouldn’t be taking dmg. MC fights are so short I suspect Mages can get by with their self generated mana consumes. Warlocks can life-tap and then get spam healed by meter padders. Hunters - I don’t run out of mana on my hunter alt during MC boss fights.
b) Major Rejuvs on my server go for 20g+ for 5. Major Mana for 10g for 5, although with my Hunter alt I can farm these all day long in DMT. Major health for less I think. I only bought Major Rejuvs to help with one of the Epic Bow Demons.
C) Major Rejuvs will be needed during Naxx because Sapph and KT both dish out consistent AOE damage to the raid.
from a pure ranged dps perspective plain major mana potions are the better choice since they give more mana. Combined with the fact that they cost less mats to make I’d say go for the mana pots.
The simple reason is that most consumables are bought for raids and in raids classes that rely on mana potions would prefer to gain the additional mana from a major mana potion over a Rejuv potion.
Same applies to PvP people prefer to gain the additional health from a major health potion.
These pots are of better use in pvp…if there will be any alliance left to buy em. And then naxx as already stated. I have a few stacks for sale too but shazz seems to be kinda dying…I’m talking about alliance side.
I only used a mana pot once in this raiding tier. On 16 men ony split run, when she did a bugged breath attack and left a handful of us for phase 3, but we decided to push through and kill her instead of wiping.
Why would I possibly buy a twice as expensive pot with wasted healing component? Maybe when we get to Huhuran and our raid healers struggle (I doubt it), I might consider them for first few weeks…
these pots are amazing in pvp and can be pretty good in naxx for sapph/kt. you can probably sell a lot of these for mage flag carriers once bgs are out.
