Earthshaker has 5000-6000 Alliance players. Golemagg has the same, but with Hordes. Merge it and boom you have a healthy server option for everyone wanting to transfer from Queuemaw!
this will be the greatest thing they can do, iāll be one of the first to transfer there, a 15k~ server with about 50-50 A\H split will be great, it will lower the Firemaw que by a lot and still allow people to enjoy both PvE and PvP.
we need a Vote poll here
If only Blizzard ever read these forums, the game could actually be pretty great
It whould be bombastic
Hey bois! We can start pushing this to the Dev team instead of changes on Firemaw etc, since they have stated they are not changing it. Spread the word around as much as u can and lets just hope this get to the Devs!
Ooooooor, hereās a better solution:
5-6k horde players should transfer to Earthshaker and another 5-6k alliance players should transfer to Golemagg. Boom, you have 3 servers with healthy population and balance without waiting for blizzard to do anything (not like they would do anything in the first place, lol).
That could work too! But imagine being the first individual/guild jumping to a server, where you literally have 0 players from the same faction. This solution would work as well, but requires alot of coordination from the community, so there would be more people to transfer at once.
So you have two laggy perma queueueueue servers ?
I reported your post OP, so that Blizzard will be forced to read it.
Brave and honorable but foolish ![]()
They wonāt read a post with 1 report. Will simply get ignored.
They also wonāt read a post with multiple reports. Automated system will delete the post.
We are alone in the darkness.
I am on golemagg and this would be the best thing from blizz ever. Please blizzard do it and do it now. Golemagg has great comunity but i simply cant play on 1side server(better quit than no interaction with oposite faction) and dont have time waiting in queue and make firemaw even worst + i dont want to leave golemagg because i have all friends there. This idea would create 2 big balanced server so it would help firemaw too. Dont abandon us blizzard. Even if it makes names collision (can stay server name in name like era) even if makes queue on golemagg too, everything is better than 1 side server by far.
they wonāt⦠when the lich king comes back online to the golemage and he will face huge queues.
forget it, your only option is blizzard store services
Ok, so Your solution to the problem of queues on megaserver is creating another megaserver? Brilliant!
I implore You to read this response (actually, read the whole discussion, but this is the most important part):
Blizzard clearly states that they have years of data that suggests that, on a long enough timeline, the population for most PvP realms will tend to skew towards one faction or the other and that this skew often starts as the result of more incoming players joining the majority faction, rather than players leaving the minority faction. I can say this seems to be true. We already have horde refugees from Firemaw to Golemagg.
They also say that players donāt seem to want an even playing field and/or they care more about having their faction be heavily populated and lively than they care about their realm being balanced.
Merging servers and creating another megaserver is not the right solution .
Good suggestion, if I can keep my character names - else not.
Sometimes I donāt understand this narrow minded forum. What do you think will happen? As soon as people would really start to transfer of Firemaw it would create a mass stream towards that new megaserver (especially with the Free character transfer of Firemaw available right now) and then you are facing the same queues you faced on firemaw. Itās just shifting the problem from one server to another and maybe a short healthy period of a couple of weeks.
Only thing that solves problems is taking incentives away from these megaservers. Merge the european auction houses, introduce cross-realm group and raid finding and you will see people will donāt care where they play. The only thing they want is cheap stuff on the auction house and easy group finding - They donāt care who is staying around them.
Ofcourse, if there is option switch server, they always end as one sided. Smaller faction has it harder. So some % of people who dont like it will switch server, causing even more imbalance, so people who were ok with 45:55 but not with 40:60 will leave now, cousing even more imbalnce, etc. Like snowball, to the point where you cant literaly play as smaller faction. This will always happend eventualy. Thats why big pserver didnt have this problems, because you couldnt move your char. Whole population ratio is prety even. You said it is not right solution. But it is better than no solution. What can i do now? Switch to mega server, causing even more problem to the firemaw or quit, because one sided server is boring af.
BTW again if you create 2 mega server it will be still beter than 1. Because population will split.
Even if it happens again and we will have again one faction server, at least we have some time to enjoy game before it happens and we have it now, so it wont be worse.
Solution how prevent it can be, dont allow leave/join server to increase imbalance. For example only major faction can leave server to server with minor faction etc. Activly checking for wich faction can leave etc. Or forbid changing server at all. And than just merge dying server or make new if it is needed. But it is prety late for that, should be sooner.
Everything is better than doing nothing. Even if it has some pros and cons
Mate, most of the things You wrote were actually mentioned by Blizz in the discussion I linked. Please go read it. You will find out why it has more cons than pros.
I feared as much. These forums, especially the non-US ones, have always been more of a pressure vault for people to unload their negative energies instead of outright quitting rather than a place where Blizzard actually seeks constructive feedback from their customers in how to improve the game.
Spending a year playing Gwent, and seeing CDPR actually implementing things both myself and others have suggested on the forums into the game have only reinforced to me what an uncaring garbage company Blizzard is, but hey, at least they wonāt read this post to censor it.
Sorry, i am at work, did read just part of it. Will read it later, but i think there cant be stronger cons than doing nothing, if doing nothing makes you stop playing. I can get over lot of things. But only one side server seems pointless to me. It even maked me do my first post here after many years.
Refering to the argumentation of Blizzard is - at this point - laughable at best. In the end they set the boundary conditions for this server mess, donāt openly communicate about it unless they are forced by an interviewer and refuse to act (always with the excuse to āthinkā this and that may happen). And in the end after all their ācarefulā consideration they just enable free character transfers for a selected set of realms and call it dunzo for the next couple of months.
What does that tell you? They donāt actually think about possible solution. The upper management is telling them that this creates extra revenue and thus must be preserved until subscription cancels outweight server transfer earnings. It is just like with bots, that up to a certain percentage are not only accepted but desired as extra revenue from the game.
Their wording is always structured to never make definitive statements. Since months all they do is āthinkingā. Itās a stalling tactic. They are playing with the desperation of the players - nothing more nothing less. People should stop giving them the benefit of a doubt and judge them based on their actions. Looking at this forum we have 0 interaction from Blizzard with the playerbase. Just scroll and look how many blue posts you will find that arenāt just announcements - NONE. At this point I think Kaivax is a bot used to communicate Patch Notes rather than a real person. The āCommunity councilā is a bunch of players completely disconnected from the real problems of the game. Shadowlands as well as Classic are messes in their own regard, yet they talk about problems for deaf / blind players or Recruit a friend and while I donāt want to downplay their problems - These are issues for a tiny tiny minority of the playersbase that shoudnāt overshadow the real problems posted day & night on the forums by different people in different threads.
So whats left? Twitter - A platform not designed for indepth discussions, where the developers can always excuse themselve with āWell I am talking as a private person hereā and ignore you as soon as a discussion would lead to concessions to the community.
