DHs was not supposed to be released in legion. Loramus was already in classic, so DHS after P6 would make good class to introduce.
Check they lore, they are ill ppl, they should not be playable class.

I’m not sure that the DH playstyle fits into classic. Such as all the flying, jumps and what not.
That being said, you raise an interesting point. Would it be a good idea to allow post-classic races and classes to be played in Classic, BC, or whichever expansion once they are done.
Counter-argument - once you have monks, DHs, blood elves, worgen, and all that running around, it’s not really classic. The gameplay might very well be classic, but the environment.
One could just say, heck, scale every further content to 60 and open the entire retail for classic+. Zones, dungeons, raids, quests. (It’s my understanding they’re doing exactly that with Shadowlands, except it’s scaled up to 50 maybe.)
There is no end in sight, so maybe it’s best to keep the jar closed.
They did say they were going to bring them into TBC but weren’t sure they could handle it at the time (or something like this).

Having the demon hunters in our ranks would mean we are aware of Illidan’s plans, removing the cause of storming the Black Temple.
Furthermore, it would also mean the fight against sargeras would have happened sooner and we would have probably lost it.

Then why was there a Demon Hunter on one of the boxes? Theres plenty of dh presence already in vanilla. Npcs etc.
This thread is why Retail players should be banned from the Classic section.

And yes the demon hunters are present in vanilla.
Usually outcasts, some an exception.
They are still somewhat demons theirselves and very feared for it given recent events of lore before classic.

Go Google search original vanilla box Demon Hunter. Theres a dh fighting on the box. DHs was meant to be in game earlier, but why we dont know. Stop calling med a troll and talk about lore. When theres several dhs present that mens there is a reason for that. I do not get why you guys do not see a posibility og dh as a class in classic +. Only if you do not want classic + and just want next expansion to be BC and the rest after. And FYI i am a classic player so.
Or maybe dk-s since they were already present in classic. Ofc a new type of dk not the retail type, a more fitting one for classic

would be better if they made the 9 existing classes somewhat enjoyable. only hunter and warriors have somewhat proper rotations. adding another class before fixing the existing ones is not a good idea
I’m pretty sure that is a night elf wielding glaives not a demon hunter, like other night elf npc’s do.
This actually did spark outrage as there were no glaives ingame.
I don’t think it really matters if it is a good idea or not. Classic + won’t happen.

There’s no way they’re going to do DHs because there’s no way they’re going to do Classic+ anytime soon. They’d have to either hire new ppl or allocate new employees to Classic’s team and spend resources to create content of unknown reception whereas they could just release other legacy servers such as TBC and WotLK.
And even if they could, economically-wise, the Vanilla foundation is still nowhere as good as to support a new MMO without several major changes, such as no faction-exclusive classes, less powerful racials, less powerful consumables, no world buffs, new PvP system, etc.
Btw. The picture of the dh Was supposed to be part of their original idea for Hero Classes, and I don’t think anyone knows what that was going to be.
Way way way back in the day on the original World of Warcraft homepage, there was a section that said “coming soon!”. It mostly listed things that they had planned for upcoming patches and when about they were going to implement it. At the very bottom there was one that said something like “very far” and it had Siege Weapons and Hero Classes listed.
