Make m+ rating show your main rating

Having rating system for m+ is a wonderful thing. With a BUT. It makes it a nightmare having alts. I keep declined and laughed at for applying on my alts despite having ability to easily do the desired dungeons.
It should not be a rocket science problem to solve, right? Just put there another number representing highest rating on your account. Spec related would be even better.

I am aware there are addons for this, but once blizz implemented rating system, they should have the best version of it.

Blizzard won’t implement this feature probably for some time yet, so your best bet is to use Raider io addon.

I think so too, thats why im trying to bring it up here. Because honestly, why implement sub par version of this bringing pain to some people who dont use addons?

There’s really not much of a point to invite someone based on their mains score.

I got KSM last season as a holy priest. Should people have invited my… say… Death knight based on that score I had on my priest, even though my DK is clearly not my priest? If I try to dps on a DK I do like 2k dps.

And why should i invite an alt based on their main’s score? This will never happen.

Like i said - it would be best to show it based upon role

At this time of the patch this is the only meaningless metric.

The m+ rating isn’t based on role though. Even then, if I had achieved KSM as a shadow priest, that doesn’t mean I know how to play a frost or unholy DK.

addons will always be superior to blizzard’s features.
even the in-game voice is something no one uses, and for a good reason.

The in-game voice chat is good enough to actually play with but discord is better, that’s the reason.

how is it any different from what ive said ?

*i personally never used the in-game voice chat, but i do know that others third-party softwares are better. i dont raid anymore, but when i did, it was either team speak or discord or maybe others i dont remember.

Am i too scarse on detail here? It should work like rio thing. Show you character rating, show your top dps/tank/heal rating and so on. Obviously.

And honestly, player with around 2k rating has to be good all rounder. And player with that kind of a rating should be sane enough to not apply as a healer if he never healed. Its also good indication you know tactics in that dungeon. I am shocked about the semi-negative feedback here

good dps can do decent dps on any class, i play 9 classes like this.

Ah, that feature…

I hope not, because its awful to keep track of the rio addon, update it daily, register on their website… just want to play the game god dammit.

Most people aren’t capable of that.

Dont give me that. I dont consider myself a very good player but doing +10s is easy as anything, as long as you can play the game and understand the general mechanics.

Im not talking about +20s here. This is casual stuff, i only run +15s weekly on several characters and its pain if i dont have my own key because i skip one week to get into group. Or sometimes people leave only based on my low rating.

Neither am I.

This guy, in a +13:

That guy doing 2k dps with ilvl 236, was 2.1k rating on his main. His main’s score doesn’t mean anything when his main is another class.

Yea I also don’t invite based on main score, unless the gap is pretty small in favour of main.

Normally even for a single role, knowing how to play one dps doesn’t mean anything for another.

slacker, troll, drunk, boosted player? no way 2k rated player pulls this

It’s very possible. There’s quite a lot of one-trick ponies in the game. WoW is not unique in that sense, it’s present in most multiplayer games.
