Make Money with first aid

First of: Yeah I am aware that most likely like 80% of you people already know this, this is for the remaining 20% who dont know:

Bandages sell to NPCs for a higher price than the cloth you need to create them from Silk upwards.

Example Runecloth sells for 4 Silver a piece to Vendors. Runecloth Bandages sell for 5 Silver.
2 Runecloth sell for 8 Silver, 1 Heavy Runecloth Bandage sells for 1 gold.

So, even if you are a class with self heal, just pick up First Aid for some sweet money^^

Silk Bandage instead of Silk Cloth: +10 Silver per Stack
Heavy Silk Bandage instead of Silk Cloth +20 Silver per Stack
Mageweave Bandage instead of Mageweave Cloth: +30 Silver per stack
Heavy Mageweave Bandage instead of Mageweave Cloth: +20 Silver per Stack
Runecloth Bandage instead of Runecloth: +20 Silver per Stack
Heavy Runecloth Bandage instead of Runecloth: +40 Silver per Stack

You forget that heavy bandages cost 2 cloth instead of 1. So your calculations are incorrect but yes you still make a tiny profit.

Nope, I included that.
1 Stack of Heavy Bandages is compared to 2 Stacks of Cloth in my calculation.

My guy. If 1 stack of runecloth is 80s and a stack of runecloth bandages is 1g you make 20s.
1 stack of runecloth makes 10 heavy bandages which are 10s each (not 1g each like you posted) = 1g for 10.
You make 20s, not 40s like you are stating.

That’s why I said you are not taking into account that 1 heavy bandage requires 2 cloth.

You’re also wrong with mageweave. Normals are fine but with heavy mageweave bandages you only profit 10s per stack of mageweave.

Also wrong with silk.
1 silk = 1.5s
1 bandage = 2s
1 heavy = 4s (2 cloth)
So you profit 10s per stack of silk doesnt matter if you make heavy or regular.

Every time I see silk at or under 40s I just buy all of it, turn it into bandages and vendor it. I don’t care how much it is and that silk bandages are grey to me.

It’s called “price regulation”.

People are so hungry for cloth since they are still leveling first aid, that I dont think that’s a issue.

Even if you are a class with self healing (I’m a healer myself), First Aids will be useful anyways! There’s plenty of times that I run oom in a dungeon and I just use a bandage to heal some dps who’s not holding the aggro. If your bandage is enough high lvl, it will be an important contribution.

Edit: I’m lvl 26 in game, why do I still appear like lvl 11 in the forums?

In my realm last time I checked silk was still selling around 40s which is precisely its value in bandages (and anything between 30 and 40 is bought by those seeking profit).

Lots of people still leveling flood the AH beyond what’s needed for tailoring/first aid (I use a lot of bandages myself and still sold quite a few stacks), and if you don’t sell them because there’s so much of it you lose the fee, so “vendoring” it is normal. Things should change in the long run.
