Its not even fun at this point, its another chore.
Just did 5 mask clear with 0 orbs used, its too easy and its supposed to be the highest difficulty.
Would be nice if we get limitless scaling option after 5 masks, say 150%, 200% etc etc. like M+ so some of us can enjoy the content instead of facerolling the “highest” difficulty
I can do full run with all masks without using orb as drood or aladin tank
I cant even complete 1 mask if i dont go affliction because i keep getting yeeted & feared n stunned
Also im pretty sure any tank in the bloody game can do a warlocks job 10 times better due to being melee & health reduction, just add some lazorbeams ( twi devestation ) on dat tank and it can blast through it
Could do it sure, but as long as there no meaningful rewards behind it(apart from some feat or strength or some cosmetic to /flex or something).
Otherwise the moment, we open up a new difficulty with rewards.
1st scenario: Must force myself to do vissions +20 cause it drops ilevel 500. I need to stay competitive for raiding/m+/pvp!
2nd scenario: Omg Class A can easily solo visions on +25, but my class is bad at it! Not fair that I cant get a ilevel 500 stuff!
3rd scenario: WTS visions +20 runs. Guaranteed ilevel 500 stuff at the end!
Create some extra vision difficulties for the challenge alone =
Create another gearing path with vissions or some other serious meaningful rewards =
5 masks isn’t really a big deal anymore, even with no orbs used. Insanity decays really slowly and between gift procs and the 200 from killing dudes at regular intervals it feels like you’re never far from topped off.
They give decent gear and serve their purpose. I kind of agree with others, its more humblebrag thread rather than a serious discussion on making them harder.
It feels bad when something marketed as challenging solo content (Especially with masks) just fizzles out. Not sure how they could’ve fixed it with the format of Horrific Visions, also don’t think slapping more damage modifiers is a good idea for visions, the design ran its course.
Right now, end of area bosses are a joke and most of them have 1-2 abilities.
I think it would be cool that further masks instead of adding damage modifiers and such, would add more hp and complexity on the bosses.
Think of it like this, people already mastered the visions, however we all know one mistake can and will kill you, pushing things further that way will only serve to make the game more unfair to classes without immunities / QoL abilities.
So, more complicated and longer bosses is the answer imo, and by more complicated I don’t mean unavoidable abilities, rather cool quirky abilities that reward smart play and utilization.
A cool idea for example, is what if one of the bosses made you do the Sha of pride pac man phase, where you get out if you eat X orbs of light.
The visions should be chaotic, and designed to test the player’s individual skill in a fun and intriguing way imo.
