Probably me.
But I don’t know.
Also I’m running out of likes, so if Tah could just assume that I’m clicking like on every single one of their posts. THey seem pretty based. XD

They could have also allowed for greater modification of bodies, however i get it that that might cost several raid tiers to implement
Correct.
So…(Using your logics) Why are you bringing and enforcing gender politics in a fantasy world ?
If you have a good answer for this I will be happy to continue this conversation, otherwise I’m bowing out.
Well actually, some people twisted ‘gender’ into another version of what it originally was - which was a way of describing ones biological sex. Gender very much does still refer to what is biological as far as I’m concerned and there are only two: male and female.
When i was born, i was born with the gift of Doom in my pants.
So when i reached highschool, I started to be metal.
And because of that it turned me into the brutal orc you know.
Yeah. In a perfect world we’d have the sickest most comprehensive character creation ever. Ah well.
World of Warcraft, however, was never advertised as Warcraft IV. From the get go it was made clear that it would be a new game with different playstyle that uses the world where Warcraft is taking place.
Square Enix on the other hand, did the exact opposite. Instead of creating a new series with the Action combat, or actually expanding its already Final Fantasy Saga series which has had Action combat since the GameBoy era, it changed the base numbered ones. The reason is obvious, sales. Everyone flocked to buy FFXV and FFXVI, but less than 20% would flock to buy Final Fantasy Spinoff IV and Final Fantasy Spinoff V, because it doesn’t carry the weight and importance of the main series/game even if the development and marketing costs were the same.
Another example, the Mario games. Their gameplay has literally been a direct evolution of the first game in 1985. It never stopped being a platformer for its main series. But it has had many spinoffs with different playstyle, with some of them being more popular than the main game itself (Mario Kart, Smash Bros). But Nintendo never changed the Super Mario series to a karting or fighting game, they evolved that different new spinoff series that became popular.
So why change World of Warcraft and not create a new game for players who enjoy the new representation? (the answer is obvious, it’s money and will always be money)
Alright, so you refuse to accept change.
That is no longer what it means. Factually.
Basically you’re a flat earther.
Because I don’t see it as political.
I see it as inclusive.
To people who it doesn’t affect, they don’t care.
To people who are angered by it, I ask why?
To people it matters to, it’s good / indifferent to them.
It’s just a change on character creation.
It doesn’t change the gameplay.
Just a harmless change for inclusivity.
You are incorrect. Words evolve. Get with the program.
Because world of warcraft evolves over time. It is in no way the same game it originally was.
Because playing WoW vanilla for 20 years would have gotten old pretty fast.
Things evolve and change, you either deal with it or you don’t I guess.
Flat Earther? Why would I believe in that nonsense? I was actually thinking that you were more likely to be of that type of belief, but hey ho.
And therefore players who enjoy the old game will be disgruntled by the evolution and will throw a fit, also known as negative feedback. Which is what we do.
Don’t get us wrong. We have nothing against you (at least the logical ones among us). We just want our game back.
You don’t. You believe in other nonsense.
Meaning of words change over time.
Sick used to mean ‘ill’. Now it can also refer to ‘awesome’.
Gay used to mean happy.
Etc.
You refuse to accept reality; which makes you ‘like’ a flat earther.
I didn’t say you believe in flat earth theory.
Factually since it changed to suit a certain demographic. Not factually as I refuse that particular change.
Two biological genders: male / female. End.
Super Mario, Zelda, Sonic, and lots of other series evolved their gameplay while staying true to its root (well, Sonic maybe not so much). And they still sell tens of millions with every new installment.
Except the only changes here are that there’s more gay and trans inclusion.
Your game isn’t gone. It’s just a more inclusive one.
The crafters do come off a little cringe. I’ll admit. But this is just the first phase of things. I’m hoping as time goes on it’ll be a more natural fit.
That’s totally wicked, dude!
(By which, of course, I mean that Tah is evil, and possibly a witch. XD)
I don’t say ‘sick’ or ‘ill’ as they’re both embarrassing and only in slang are they recognised in the way that you’re describing this change. I’m pretty sure the Oxford dictionary does not recognise ‘sick’ as anything other than unwell.
That there disproves your argument in and of its own.
You cannot ‘refuse’ to take part in a fact. a fact just IS.
Well; you CAN refuse and then people will call you delusional or a nutjob.
Well actually, I can do precisely as I please. There’s a lesson for you.
