Which, people continue to antagonize every time they post and then break the forum CoC in those threads; yes. Two wrongs don’t really make a right, and in general being nasty at someone because ‘they deserve it’ doesn’t really justify it in the first place.

The guild that is a frequent topic of controversy on these forums deserves everything that is thrown at it for what it tries to endorse en-masse

And if Blizzard won’t take action it’s up to the community to raise awareness. You can’t expect that to happen without tensions elevating high

Maybe, but I have no interest in being welcoming to people who aren’t going to contribute to the server’s roleplay scene in any way. If people come here to roleplay they aren’t going to think “Oh, but they are mean to people who disrupt RP. I best not come here”.

Maybe, but I have no interest in being welcoming to people who aren’t going to contribute to the server’s roleplay scene in any way.

I agree, but if you portray RPers as a welcoming and friendly community instead of being aggressive about OOCers, then maybe more OOCers will actually give RP a try instead of viewing RPers as a total joke to be ridiculed and griefed for lols. So far the aggressive approach didn’t achieve anything positive imo.

If Blizzard isn’t taking action against something you see as bad, no it’s not okay to go ahead and break the game or forum rules to do that. If you cannot do it without breaking one or both, best not to do it in the first place. If you’ve already shared your concerns with Blizzard in ticket and through feedback, and they found nothing wrong with it; sorry to say but nothing you do is really going to change that.

Blizzard is quite unlikely to listen to someone about a suggestion if they’re someone that’s consistently breaking the rules they laid out.

I’d rather be breaking the rules by reporting OOCers and being unwelcoming to them than break the rules by engaging in brothel RP or crashing a server I don’t even actively play on.

Your devil’s advocate gimmick about this topic isn’t working. There’s documented evidence about laws that are being broken, not to mention the in-game ToS and even grooming being done outside the game on Discord. Blizzard has actively silenced people who speak up about that even in the most mundane of ways that didn’t warrant action taken at all.

The guild is a nuisance on the server and only discredits this community as a whole. Are you surprised some posters here can be unpleasant about an issue that genuinely grieves us?

jade witch dens getting folded like garden chairs and some of the more mongoloid griefing/OOCer guilds getting ashed due to constant flak from ingame and the forums are both net positives that you haven’t noticed lol

That explains why your reports aren’t taken seriously by Blizzard. You abuse the report system.

Disagreement on the forums = you report.
OOCer breathes = you report.

Feel free to be unwelcoming, and explain your reasons why you’re doing so if they show zero interest in RP. But really, breaking the rules doesn’t help either side. I’d definitely be fine with less people on RP servers that are only OOC and don’t care about RP, but I also think without Blizzard intervention or changes including transfers that it’s just not going to happen at this point in time.

I can see you and quite a few others that are at the very least prominent on the forums share this idea that making it more unwelcoming will get rid of them, and you’re free to try it that way and truly let me know how it fares. Cause so far, everything goes on and continues as normal except with a bit more hostility and drama mixed in.

Yeah I’ll give you that one. It’s good to shut such people down. They paint a really negative picture about Argent Dawn.

I already see the attitude of DB players on this very server so I don’t think I need to move to see it.
