Obviously it won’t happen without a huge initiative from enough people. One man can’t make a significant change. I am sad that those RP servers are low on RPing these days, but I don’t think that Argent Dawn will be able to stop the influx of OOCers just by being super aggressive towards them. They’ll just view us as a joke and a bunch of freaks who should be ridiculed and griefed even more imo.

Please don’t be this naive. The amount of evidence at this point is ridiculous, from in-game screenshots to Discord DMs and whole investigation files. Blizzard just refuse to deal with it and seem to prefer sweeping it under the rug for whatever reason.

Fairly sure griefing RP is an offense that can result in some sort of punishment for the griefer. Only through mass tickets/reports sadly though it seems so far.

It’s all about execution- there can be a lot of wrong things about self-regulation, actually. Abuse of power, “who will watch over the watchers”, arbitrary principles and so forth.

I’d argue the aggression is more of a recent thing, i suppose peoples patience wasn’t going to last forever.
Especially when you get people coming to Argent Dawn to grief rp and spouting things like “argent downs lol” in say while spamming anniversary balloons/train toy sets while you’re trying to rp in Org.

You can also interpret it as people who actually care about the server they are playing on. I know I do. Again, I am not going to be tolerant or welcoming to people who come here only to ruin other people’s gameplay. I have seen what that leads to on other RP venues.
I don’t have a link to the exact post at the moment, but I seem to remember that Blizzard stated that we are to moderate our own realm, so, as we do.
I am from DFB and the deathknell of that server from the stinky legions of OOCers I can fullheartedly say that people here are stupid or debased contrarians for thinking that OOCers are needed on AD or should be tolerated

Don’t see how kindness and love will allow us to get rid of the griefer problem. Griefing isn’t necessarily a response to the behaviour of RPers. I got the impression that it’s just a source of selfish entertainment for the griefers.

Defias Brotherhood wasn’t a normal RP server, its mechanics were completely different as they encouraged and rewarded PvP griefing, while AD doesn’t host such a dynamic.
“DB suffered from OOCers therefore AD will aswell” isn’t an argument.

Ok so why not just…I don’t know…ignore, report and be about your fun instead of making threads that gather even more negative attention and views about Argent Dawn? Seems rather counterproductive to me.

I am doing it, but it seldom leads to anything.
Of course it is. Most impressionable zoomers in the 14-16 year old range will commonly hear of RP and assume it’s a medium to be made fun of. Now add streamers in the mix and they’ll all be penned into coming here or possibly staying on to disrupt RP.
DB had a thriving RP community that pretty much rivaled AD. In fact back in 2010 it was more popular than the latter. It wasn’t until the OOCers began to abuse the open world that it died out and everyone migrated here
