What are you talking about? There is no rated pvp yet in shadowlands.
Of all the skirmish battles i saw vs good opponents its clear that ret is top of the food chain atm.
Big burst is fine. The burst is too fast to react tho. If the TTK (time to kill) is 2 GCDs or shorter ppl dont have time to react. You whont survive, no matter how skilled you are.
Wow pvp becomes the direct opposite of skillbased when its a 1 shot fest. Especially when the burst comes from (partially ranged) instants.
Youll see its mostly low experienced players defending rets atm. They finally can win, they dont need proper setups anymore.
Exactly, the only judgement you can make this far is from unrated pvp.
Tell me the last time ret was a dominating spec in the higher brackets in rated pvp. Its a very long time ago and they have not been for many expansions.
Allthough ret has been dominating every now and then in unrated pvp and lowrated pvp - So there is absolutely no reason to believe otherwise now.
Ret gamedesign, playstyle and damage is about just the same as it was in BFA. Fast burst in pvp atm is because of covenants, so its not a spec issue.
Also there are specs far better then ret for pvp, but the problem is that people accept that sub rogue is topping every aspect of the game including pvp, because rouges are allowed to be op.
In unrated pvp most people dont know how to counter certain specs and abilities, then they get killed, and then they go on the forums and claims “OP” and “NERF”
Everybody who have played rated pvp continuously the last years knows that ret is amongst the least played specs above 2k rating.
And they also know that ret is easily dealt with for most comps.
1v1 is another story tho, but 1v1 is not relevant for any kind of pvp that matters. Ret is good against most melee, and bad against most ranged, based on setting.
The most infuriating part of retardins is their overtuned strengths and defensives actually convince bad players that they are significantly better than what they actually are.

I’ve miss something? Paladins and ROGUES was a most powerfull classes from vanilla! Aloha! Topic starter, what you doing, but anything, just stop! Rogues one-shot anybody even paladins. Also Rogue kill while his stuns… If you don’t have a trinket (KD) you are dead. Permanently.
About paladins. It’s very hard task kill any healer. Paladin is healer in any spec. But why healer can kill so hardly? this is the question. Tank must be fat, but less damage. healer heal but weak. DD damage a lot but weak.
