Because many people will be putting in tickets regarding stuff like queue times, and disconnects, that customer service can do nothing about.

Blizzard, please tell me something. You’re doing great work in the area of MMO, and you’ve got also 15_years_of_experience in this, but after releasing Classic version, there are still issues with servers, connectivity, players must wait in quees even few hours, when they want just to play and have some fun, after paying you for game time or games. Why it still occurs?
Why other companies, with a much smaller budget, manage without a problem, trivially put it? It’s really about money?

PLEASE give players some sort of session token to protect against having to re-queue after a mass DC. If you don’t know why it happened, it’s probably going to happen to us again tonight.

it will happen again, this is already about the 2nd/third time since launch
bare in mind I haven’t slept since launch
Instead of waiting for this, why not move to another realm while you still haven’t put in too much time into any characters?

Absolutely disgraceful way to deal with it. I have 2 days off work wednesday and thursday and I dread at how it’s gonna be to try and play. And no, giving t he excuse of “it was a high pop server, what did you expect?” isn’t nearly good enough. I wanted to go Shazzrah, but it was said to be full, so I swapped to Golemagg. Later, Golemagg was kinda full so I decided to swap to a then brand new server, Firemaw. Then Firemaw was full. Ok I will just go to a brand new server, so at 3PM I made a char on Mograine and went out. Now it’s Mograine that’s the issue. What, am I expected to just make new characters on every realm you ever make and just go from scratch???
At this point, I’m fine with rerolling a server ONLY if I get a free character migration. This is a disgrace.

They had the data , and because of that data they where able to tell people days ago that if they don’t want to experience massive wait times to go on lower populated servers .
What exactly where people expecting when everybody piled on the same server ?

Except you’re wrong because Mograine was opened 8h before launch. I, and I’m guessing many more people, were swapping every time they announced another full server. But what were we supposed to do after launch and we realized that the 4th server we moved to is now melting?

Well you have 2 option at this point , choose one of the low pop pvp servers that have no wait time , or wait until the hype dies down .

Completely unacceptable answer. Please add a grace period after DC ASAP. People - including me - took days of the work for this.
I choose Golemagg knowing what to expect. EXACTLY why I finished plaing at 6 am and woke up at 9 am to continue before the mass logons and queues… Then getting booted at 1 pm and 3 hours later I am still in the queue - which I once again strees that I - planned my day and playtime around to avoid it… Who is gonna give me back my wasted 3-4 hours - basically a half day of my 30 day paid leave?
Even if you could play retail while in the queue I would suck it up, and deal with it but this is unacceptable.

Wow that’s impressive. I have slept, woke up, met with an 8k queue… got DCed from it, 11k queue.
Still at it now for 2 hours.
It really is unacceptable. As if this isn’t the greatest game of all time. As if they don’t know it…

Literally anyone who has planned anything for this has knowledge that these things are very common with game launches especially more popular ones.
There’s no reason one can’t take that into account while planning.
