Queued up for an hour and a half last night (Fair enough, nothing to complain about there, it was release night after all). Played for two hours. Queued up at 9:30 this morning for a two hour queue, played for 15 minutes, got disconnected. Tried queueing again and was stated an hour long queue (6k), after around 40 minutes I was kicked from the queue, and tried again. This has happened 3 times now. Are Blizzard servers so bad that you get DC’d even when your queuing?
Aerythlea, providing such an answer will more likely infuriate those who wait in 20k queues (which is everyone who isn’t in the game), rather than providing some comfort that something is being done about the situation.
What a pointless and even stupid answer.
Monitoring is doing something. They need to completely assess the situation before deciding on what can do best to help everyone involved.
They never mentioned it, but in order to provide the true Vanilla experience, they also took the original servers from the basement.
What about giving people priority to join the queue after they are getting kicked out? What about that? That doesn’t require monitoring, that requires action.
4 hrs in que on Golemagg EU & still position 6k looking like another 3 - 4 hr wait. After 15 years Blizztard still can’t organise a piss up in a brewery…
Again what are you talking about? 2-3 posts on the forums claiming that mograine will be full ? I was following a big survey on reddit classic about the population of realms and mograine had less population than firemaw , gehennas , golemagg and shazzrah with a fairly good H:A ratio ! So i chosed mograine!
So for players that have full time jobs it’s a bit hard to keep up with all the news around wow classic. I think the low populated servers will have the same que issues when we hit the weekend. Then what? Move again?
I joined the Morgrain server when the server population was low. Thats all i could do. I was not aware of any server popularity, so please stop blaming the players and look at the company. Stop being a white night for Blizzard. They can fix a lot of this issues by offering character transfers for all of those that spend a couple of hours leveling. Yesterday pre launce i was in the server within 10 mins. We played a couple of hours to level up. I don’t want to give away those couple of hours because blizz cannot manage their stuff…

I’m fairly certain that’s because they want to find a solution to the queuing issues completely, not just for the ones who are already in.
They did say somewhere that they do have the technology to raise realm caps but won’t do so, but I think that’s a viable solution for now and maybe after doing that once people will learn to roll on less populated realms.

Well if you can’t keep up with such news maybe you shouldn’t plan ahead on a realm but instead do that after game has launched?
Or you can be honest and say. We don’t know what the issue is we are trying to fix it when our developers are out back in the office.
Less fanboy and more fixing Blizzard! Just open up the damn servers. You caused this!
So, seeing as you’re all knowing, what should players have done to avoid these issues they’re facing? Given that EVERY SINGLE REALM currently has queue times, and some which only opened yesterday are at 8+ hours?
I am really interested to hear how players should have acted to negate these problems, as you are obviously omnipotent and above us all.

Say what? They know the issues, but they do not know the best way to solve them yet obviously. And noone on here knows that answer either.
What for effort does it take to give people priority who got kicked out of the server? That has nothing to do with monitoring servers and adding new realms.
PLEASE ,for the love of GOD, make a 5 minute grace period for those who crush or DC. Please, you are playing with lives here. Some of us organized days off work to play this, and we re wasting those days in queu screens. This is torture…
I’ve been in the queue on Mograine now for 3 hours (8571 down to 2361 during that time). There is no avoiding the queues. We changed to Mograine when it was added to avoid this but it made no difference… Now it is all about patience
kicked off 3 hours ago, still 256 in queue…
@Aerythlea : There are 7 hours wait on Firemaw now. Blizzard caused this shait with the redicules rollout of server. Now just open them the frakk up and let people in. Shard the hell out of them, whatever u need to do. This is unbearable.
And no, we cant just swap servers. Again. We already did that. 3 clans + friends. From Shaz to Firemaw.
Solution:
- Open up and shard
- Free transfers
- Close down and remove shard in for instance 2 weeks from now and let everyone transfers & play in the meanwhile

Of course it is Creativity. But that is something that goes without saying. Do you, in 2019, see a company that provides services, not monitoring markets and customers? Monitoring the situation is a standard not a favour.
As for completely assessing the situation, how long does it take to realize that there are maybe 100k players waiting in 3+ hour queues and that the their servers aren’t coping with the situation? Should we wait 1 week, 1 month?
To be honest I am really surprised there exist people who take the situation so lightly, considering you’re paying your hard earned cash for it and get a “we are monitoring the situation” in respons.
