Related to: Players unflagging in hostile territory
Over the last few months on era, players are mass-exploiting by untagging in hostile zones on PvP servers. This gives them a competitive advantage; they are able to completely dodge all PvP / freely roam and grief (such as dispelling) from a position where they can not be touched.
We have seen this before during WoW classic (see post above). The exploit has been fixed back then, however it was reintroduced in era. This results in e.g. an enormeous amount of players just dancing as alliance in orgrimmar. Players can not fight/compete over resources as they are able to gather them without PvP. This is absolutely gamebreaking and against the entire philosophy of a āpvp-serverā.

I believe we can all agree that this is unintended game behavior (as Blizzard has fixed it in the past already). Therefore, it should be relatively easy to patch. Thanks.

Yea this is super cringe, i play this game for the pvp aspect, and this removes it completly.
i saw people grabbing circus buff without even being pvp tagged, not sure if thats what a pvp server should be like

It gets worse, I have seen an entire raid dancing at Thrall and killing players getting in. Now, I just play WOTLK. Was considering moving back to era after ICC (as I think cata is not as interesting), but might as well quit knowing they donāt fix thisā¦

Unfortunately era will never be the same as they do not dedicate any dev resources to it to keep it remotely playable

Maybe next fresh we will have a normal game (0 trust in the WoW devs lmfao). People are coping even harder with classic+ considering the curent quality of the game. Bliz doesnt care

Remember that era is just a ābonusā for playing classic in the eyes of the stakeholders. Blizzard canāt understand that an entire playerbase is catered towards only playing for era/vanilla

i am leveling my character rn ^^ i want to play for player versus player aspectā¦ it seems like its not really worth rn, as the game is pretty buggy

I remember when this was a thing in classic, I never did it for fear of being banned then 3-4 days later it was patched, I wonder how/why it became āunpatchedā in era?
Seems a bit silly to exploit in such an incredibly obvious and very game breaking way instead of just hopping over to the PVE cluster which is pretty active and is a way better way to avoid the pvp if thatās not your thing!

Theres been full horde raids in stormwind being not pvp flagged and killing levlers and quest giversā¦

this reminds me of fire mage songniu who pressed 1 spell on me naxx geared and i dieā¦ my life flashed over my eyesā¦ i couldnt beleeeeve it. i lost aal of my buffs. then the streamer drast show me to mindcontrol at border. then i not attack from hordle LOOOL. looosered horde cant do anything to me! AHAHAHAHA. I go get warchief yell and darkmoon buff. hahahah deserve it you hordes.

Blizzard canāt even fix flyhack which is more gamebreaking, i think they just donāt care about era at all. Classic era servers are complete bugged garbadge now.

What is the point of having PvP servers when people are blatantly exploiting and Blizzard are still refusing to fix it when brought to their attention? But hey, they are gonna release a couple cinematics and a store mount this blizzcon and all is forgiven and forgotten right guys?

How incompetent can you be if you fixed this during classic and didnāt just instantly implement it once it got reported on era? They already have found the fix for this before, it should be an easy update no?

i got so angry at this i soldered all my gear to npc shop. now i need to grind all back in av as naked cow. but horde keep massrepoeting me. im afraid to play. i have to spend whole bg defensing myself in chat so i dont get reports but i cant play because type so much. i get deserter buff thing 30 second into game fixx can you developsers
this is acutal true. there is a developer on allaiance i played with and his guild doing this. i not sure if the developser he do but his guild do.
