Nvidia Geforce GTX 1650, fully updaded drivers. Not only the game stuters, usually midfight intances (fun…) but now I’m getting weird graphic bugs: sky turns into a patchwork of grids and colours, icons partly disappear…
Massive stuttering happens in arenas for me, when DK summons their pets, or when warlock starts spamming their chaos bolt.
I quit WoW for now and am playing Spore. This is ridiculous, and seeing them respond with the usual BS of trying to pin it on our hardware really hits home that nothing’s changed, their attitude is the same.
If the game runs fine prior to a patch, and then with a patch runs significantly worse, the problem is the patch. Fix. Your. Damned. Game.
Sound is problem Sound is problem Sound is problem Sound is problem Sound is problem Sound is problem Sound is problem Sound is problem Sound is problem Sound is problem Sound is problem Sound is problem Sound is problem Sound is problem Sound is problem
what else can i say ? SOUND İS PROBLEM.
when sound turn it off GAME İS PERFECTO… FLOWING LIKE OLIVE OIL
when turn on stutters coming. TECHNİCAL SUPPORT TEAM PLS FİX İT. PLS Sound is problem. Sound. especially Dragonriding wind effect problem.
I mentioned in my ticket about turning off sound in game. How it “fix” stutters. Here’s one of the GM’s theory.
Not much happening over on US forums either, but some players have been calling Blizzard support and they admit they’re working on it at least.
I’m tracking US theard from the beginning. To be honest I’m spending more time on the forums then in WoW right now hoping for the blue answer
Yeah that’s a good news instead what answer I received.
I turned off sound, didn’t do a single thing to fix the stuttering. Makes sense since the stutter is even present in the old world, where one does not dragonride.
Back to Spore.
Turning off sound doesn’t fix it for me.
And yet as I mentioned, I had good days without stuttering recently. WITH sound. Apparently it’s not tied to WQ reset either, as I theorised in my original comment. It comes very randomly.
So for me - and seeing the replies, for many others too - it’s not sound.
I absolutely have no idea what is it. Seeing the random good days (majority of the days are stutter fests still), I can’t pinpoint what’s causing it. Nothing changes between.
There were stutters during AWC live games more than a week ago now, how didn’t the devs “see” them? Still no official word?
Bumping the topic
Not sound, 100%.
Also, stuttering happens on the 10.0.7 PTR, zero addons, all default configuration.
My “working hypothesis” right now is that it is caused by certain visual effects - I suspect Death Knight animations, Demo warlock animations, or Paladin consecration. Probably some frost mage visual effects too.
The stutter happens when going back to the old world too, without a player in sight, whilst just riding or flying.
It could be the loading of visual assets then. But why now? Never had that in shadowlands or before.
any way to clear the ram of the loaded game assets without restarting entire game? like changing some graphical settings or something?
game starts with 2.7gb and go up to 5gb+ in older zones after about 45min. madness.
quite annoying in bgs
Have had issues since DF, but it hasn’t been playable since S1 started. Tried about everything I can think of - even different computers, a new router, another irl location, vpn… The last two weeks 20% of my gametime has been working as intended and 80% a laggy/stutter mess which is an upgrade from 100% laggy/stutter… I haven’t done anything that should have affected this results. Doesn’t matter when I play, if it’s prime time or 04:00. Even on those days I had zero lag/stutter, it was a 50/50 chance if I got stutter/lag issues when I entered Timewalking or Arena.
I legit feel so bad at WoW atm, like I’m getting gaslighted by how this affects my gameplay. One day I’m e.g. +1.8k-2k winning 4/6 in solo shuffle and then other days I’m 1k 1/6… Sucks to play PvP when people are teleporting around and you lose +0.1-0.5 sec between every action (outside of gcd). Also interrupting/reacting to 1.5 sec casts when they suddenly show up at under 0.5 sec is super fun.
My theory is that they’ve had to make changes due to Dragonriding having us travel at speeds we’ve never had before in this game. I tend to see a pattern of new visual assets loading in, as well as other players, and the stutter getting worse.
It happening in the old world means something’s gone wrong with it all, and they’ll probably gaslight us until 11.0 on this when it magically fixes itself.
Terrible perspective. I’d like to actually experience season one still. Right now I’m only login to see is it fixed or not.
3 months later, the only logical conclusion I have seen is that blizzard changed something with loading assets with the Dragonflight prepatch and it’s on their end that the problem is and still has not been resolved.
Getting worse and worse… I had to repeat a race 3 times today, cause the stutter caused me to either crash or go completely offcourse…
