Same, on Afrihost 500Mbps fiber, getting bad spikes to WOW. Playing WOTLK Classic on this character. Hope Microsoft takeover includes moving everything to Azure, I’m so sick of this kak, the international routes to whoever Blizz uses in EU is always busted.
If you can, move to US, the latency is a bit more, but it’s stable, EU is always a sh*tshow in terms of international networking.
Yes, bad latency for everyone in South Africa that I know at the moment.

Glad it’s not just me, was sitting at 9000 world ms before i finally RQ.
I had 0 issues on Beta yet somehow the second they release literally anything to a live server it’s unplayable.

Heard there is cable submarine cut near egypt .so africa and asia connection to europe is disturbed today .

Those days are long gone, we’ve got so much cable redundancy now it’s insane. This is just Blizzard EU being cheap and incompetent. It’s not just today, their network performance issues have been going on for years.

The last report I could find of that was in June. Do you have something showing that it’s happened?
Edit: was down to 400 and now back at 1K and jump to 9k in dungeon so I have some doubt.

Same problem here - South Africa - Sandton JHB - latency 2k and fluctuating all the time - when I first log on it shows 170ms and lasts a few min - then shoots up to over 1K and climbs to around 2K - Been playing a long time and know all the fixes - reset router / disable addons etc … - nothing works - came home hoping to enjoy DF - and its cluster… !!!
Unsubbed, will resub when Microsoft takes over and hopefully migrating everything to their spaces, I’m not dealing with Blizzard EU one more day, every month, EVERY MONTH, there’s one issue or another, on their end.

Belgium here! Impossible to play, takes forever to just take a quest, need to reload every 1min!
After so many expansions they still did not learn. Well there goes the good experience …
Ping test to UK, France and Brazil all look totally normal. Beta (still up for some reason) MS also totally normal. This is 100% on Blizzard’s end.
Impossible to play at Waking Shores.. massive lag ..this is so frustrated.. 
p.s : my latency numbers looks all normal .. but game is unplayable..removed all addon and so nothing works

Yep, massive lag on my end as well (Denmark).
Ping seems fine, 50~ but looting+skinning took multiple minutes.
Then character selection was blank, and now I cant even get that far…
geez guys, calm down, its not the South African ISP’s, it’s affecting everyone on the big servers. go make a braai or something and relax for a day, its really bad right now but it will calm down.. like every launch of an expansion

Maybe, just maybe, Blizzard should have seen this coming. They’ve been paying Kotick millions, so surely they could have afforded to upgrade their server infrastructure to handle the masses of players wanting to experience a new expansion.
It’s fine really, lag while Dragonriding means you get to travel extra far and collect all of the upgrades you shouldn’t have (now it’ll be fixed in seconds)

Another unplayable release on EU Silvermoon. Like every fkin expansion/bigger patch. I’m done with this for the day, will check it out tomorrow but I don’t have hopes based on previous experiences. Really frustrating…
