We have about 2 or 3 hours a week (on average, some weeks it’s 0 and some its more) with a set group of people to do some keys, you dont just climb to +16 like that, and that’s fine for us. We started on 14s now and we will see where it ends. I’m not fussed about anything, I just wanna have fun with my friends.
But hey, what should we expect of someone that goes from this:
to this:
And I’m definitely not the only one who sees that behavior.
Shoutout to Zantria who knows you long enough to call you out on your BS.
You are full of sh!t, arrogant and twist words for your own narrative.
And a hypocrite.
Edit:
Most skilled healers (not talking about Vickman or Laren levels of skilled) easily keep up with mechanics.
Healers are unhappy because its simply NOT FUN. That is completely different than “keeping up with mechanics”.
Just did a 2 on an alt, and on the last boss the tank almost got one-shot on the tank buster, and the ret pala (635) ilevel did 500k dps on the boss. It was a disband. Watching the casts on the adds not being kicked, weee, weee.
A 2!!
Not sure how/if this can be fixed, even with a solo queue?
Fixing healing in infinitely scaling content is extremely difficult, but liliths idea of “Fixing” healing is letting healers effectively go afk and have the dungeon be cleared for them.
What’s there to fix? They already changed it from “don’t worry if you mess up, the healer got your behind” to “if you mess up, you just get one-shot”. The pressure on the healers cannot be any lower than it is now.
I know it’s not really true, but that’s how I felt playing Resto Shaman doing all dungeons on +12. It was so utterly boring, that I kind of refuse to heal since accomplishing that. You get comments that you managed to heal the hard bosses/packs well, and all I thought was; yeah, I mean, duh, I finally had something to do. And even then I didn’t even need to use all cooldowns… And here we talk about like 5 packs/bosses in all the dungeons combined. Heck, sometimes I even finish a dungeon thinking “Mhm, not once did I need to self pop Ascendence”. The pure HPS checks are barely present currently.
But on the other hand, step into a +6 with a “wannabe-MDI” group and you can’t even keep the healthbars up, so much avoidable damage they absorb…
The healer’s difficulty lies in the hands of the other players, really. So if Lilith wants to fix that, he needs to make the other four of the group better simple.
I’m not a healer, so I’m not qualified to give a proper answer on how to fix healing.
I heard from some healers that the defensive creep scaled the dmg intake to an absurd amount, so that we reach oneshot territory much faster than ever. From personal experience i agree with that.
But i have no clue how to fix that. As you said: it is an extremely difficult. Some high rio healer a few months ago mentioned (on reddit) that a defensive pruning and a different scaling of hp and dmg in m+ would be needed in order to balance healers again.
Wow is scaled around player’s capabilities. People ask for defensives and stuns and ccs and then blizzard make content that requires people to use them.
We don’t need this many AoE stops, we don’t need every spec to have 10-20% near permanent DR, we don’t need mages to have 4 substantial defensives and more on top.
Ice Cold - Probably the best wall in the game, or just keep the immunity.
Mirror Images - 20% DR for 40 seconds (Who takes direct damage in M+)
Alter Time - Basically Lay on Hands on 5x shorter cd
Mage Barrier - Arcane’s one even has magic DR
Greater Invisibility - A second major wall for some reason
Mass Barrier
Then you get a shield for 6% of your total HP every time you blink, which you can do off gcd without even interrupting your current cast…
Then frost also has cold snap, and fire also has cauterize…
How does one spec need even half that, let alone all of it?
Not to anyone but you. KPIs? Bonuses? It’s an American company the bonus is a pizza party where you get 2 slices and a cup of soda.
I’m about to have a whole pizza and I’ll I’ve done today is spam +13, timing only one. Yet we’re to believe Blizzard employees are going mad for 2 slices of za?
No, then a healer would be obsolete. I remember WotLK quite vividly, and I did Heroic dungeons (at the time the highest difficulty, no?) endlessly as Prot Paladin with a Shadow Priest as healer on my side.
Healing wouldn’t be better, it just would flat out not be necessary. Is that where you want to go to?
Its completely unfair. Mages are unkillable. frost has cold snap for a double immunity or double 70% dr and a 50% hp hot (if skilled), fire enjoys a cheat death and arcane has the best barriers of all 3 specs.
Then I compare it to my havoc and i have…a 20% dr, meta immunity window, netherwalk, blade dance shield (which is cringe to play around in high keys) and a ton of healing (which got nerfed hard). And dont get me started on how BAD darkness is unless its rot dmg…which is rarely the case in high keys.
A majority of the players agree that Wotlk is overrated. Wotlk classic proved that. MoP and Legion were WAY better. Wotlk got hard carried by Arthas lore, Ulduar and ICC. Naxx is literally an easier version than Vanilla Naxx (numberwise), trial of the crusader is one of the worst raids ever and rubysanctum might aswell not exist.
Edit: And I started playing WoW during Wotlk. Its all nostalgia, nothing more.
