I can’t believe it. I was just making fun of my VDH to bring the lols. The “never try +4 again” story is true and I do clown a lot.
I will always main Guardian and VDH will probably always be my second favourite tank but I’d never jump ship for meta.

Spare me the fake moral high ground. You kicked this off with a smug jab calling it “wishful thinking”. There’s nothing wishful about matchmaking. It works in every other genre that demands coordination and skill.
The majority of people on the forums aren’t a representation of the majority of players. they’re just the loudest ones. The majority of players are the ones not posting here because they’re stuck in LFG hell or getting rejected for not fitting some meta specc or high IO score.
Just because they’re not on the forums doesn’t mean they’re not part of the player base.
Right now most players can’t which is exactly why matchmaking is needed.

Also isnt it stripped of the glad rewards and “only” rewards the regular elite title as well as the legend title? It basically received the old 2v2 treatment of “cant be balanced, we don’t care, its junk, but here you have it”.

Somewhat, it does also have its own unique reward with the flag.
But for 99.99% of those playing arena of any sort it’s the path of least resistance to arena rewards. Mostly because it is a completely different game mode to rated organised arenas.
That’s the thing to remember. SoloQ is not just a queue for 3s matches. It’s a totally different format. A queue for 3s matches would have been dead on arrival, same as queued m+ would.
I’d like to ask you for a source on that but well, we all know how that’s gonna go. With your trackrecord you’ll probably tell me something like “privileeeeeege”.
And none of them are tanks.

Oh ffs. The majority of people doing M+ are usually under 2k score (haven’t check this season but based on previous ones under 50% get to KSM),~10-15% reach KSH and 1% manage 3k+.
So what can we see from this? That the majority of people are in the +2-6 range, and I highly doubt they are stuck in queue because they are not meta or not 4k score. What you are essentially asking is SoloQ for the top end where people care about meta, so less than 1% of people who have stepped in a M+.

You’ve still not told anyone why those who are already successfully using m+ lfg would ever willingly lower their odds of success to use a queue.
