It’s not to have better gear than the people im faceing, because If i play on 2400 for example they will have equal gear since they have the same raiting.
Or do you think that 2400 players will face 1600 player in arena?
Doesnt matter what u face pvp should be a skill game not a gear game if ur better u will win so whats the problem?
But the 1600 will face a decked out raider - thats why the cap needs to go down… They should give higher rating some unigue transmog stuff.

worse player at least would have the option to farm their gear from PvE. While this isnt optimal, its still a way to not completly cuck everyone whos not on higher rating
if 2k is a lot for you, then you should not be able to get max reward from pvp that is equal to mythic raiding gear because then you are not very good at it.
Just like a less experienced PVE player should not be able to get cutting edge easy.
It’s not hard to figure out that the system creates a snowballing effect that lowers rating mobility.

Sniping the first bosses of mythic raid is pretty easy and even cutting edge is more achieved than duelist in the statistics. Raiding is more about organization and finding 20 reliable people with alot of time.

Like I already said pvp is a mode where only skill matter, fighting against player playing 8hours per day having to deal with their insane gear is not fun at all imo.
Let gear matter in pve if you want but pvp is completely different.

I googled around to find ppls general thought of 2.1k rating. And most ppl say its pretty damn hard just to achieve 2.1k rating.
And a small minority actually goes above it.
It’s a difficult rating to reach. Im sorry but you elitist ppl arn’t the majority and you don’t speak for the entire arena community.
This elitist talk is so toxic it’s ridiculous . What does it even matter if ppl get bis gear at 2.1k rating? Is that the ONLY carrot you have in arena? Feels more like you lost your motivation to play arena to begin with more than this being a bad design.
And pvp should be mostly about skill and not overgearing eachother anyway.
This is the best decision they have made yet. The skill level to obtain the ilvl was far too high in comparison to M+ and Mythic raiding. Surely you are trolling. This will encourage players to play arena and revitalize the pvp secene.
Above 2.1k should be cosmetic only… I’m all for that… I’ll never hit it myself but it would be pretty damn cool to have some smart cosmetics for 2.4k and above.

I was a bit unsure how I would fare in PvP. I mean, I am a bit rusty and inexperienced.
But then I read this, and now I feel a lot better! I think deep inside I always knew I would easily be able to get 2100 rating in one week.
In fact, now that I know for certain that I can get 2100 rating in one week, I’m not really sure I can be bothered. Seems like mere formality to simply establish what is already known to be certain…
Can’t Blizzard just send me the gear and the title in the mail and spare me the time?

feels bad to have same gear as dude who grinded his teeth on that game
at least there should be some high rated shoulders or transmogs worth going for, like in tbc where good gear and weapons required a bit of rating
