I will add to this again. Please lift the Mechagnome transmog restrictions and let us transmog over arms and legs. Or give us like 20 new options and colors for them. I love the lore behind Mechagnomes and want my Monk to be one. But im also transmog hunter. And in Shadowlands even more so with thoose totally epic looking armours. I would love to main a Mechagnome but please for the love of god lift the restrictions.
imagine adding hundreds of different visual options in shadowlands and mechagnomes restriction removal not being one of those changes.
To clarify: Not saying it can’t be the case. Just saying how stupid it’ll be.
i love hate that they cant mog their arms and legs. it really does look cool and makes them stand out from the rest but on the other hand it really restricts the options for transmogs. it can be quite challenging to find something decent-looking that doesnt require leg/arm transmog.
but i would absolutely love to see more customisation. at the moment its really very lacklustering.
What bothers me about this is a wierd one, but years ago when people wanted the naga as a new race blizz said they can’t because they can’t put legs and boots on them. And here we are with mechagnomes, not having legs or boots show on them but they could of easily of done what they have done now with the mechagnomes on the naga. So clearly that wasn’t the real reason they didn’t want to add naga.
Well you can mog any skirt/robe over the legs. Every armor type has at least a few of those. That’s what i use for my mechagnome alts Doesn’t look half bad either.
I don’t think Blizzard would spend effort and waste time on such an unpopular race because they know if they remove restrictions that change would double the Mechagnome population but this means 20 Mechagnomes instead of 10 all over the World.
literally crying…;( furries are thousands. mechagons are 100? 200? worldwide
Transmog over their arms and legs?
Never!! I love laughing loudly whenever I see a half completed Mega Man looking like something bought off of Wish . com run past
Good. Furries are an entire league above diaperbabies
That and the fact naga don’t have feet to begin with, whereas mechagnomes do so that kinda rips apart your conspiracy theory of why they didn’t add naga…
Yes pls blizz
for the 2 people that plays mechagnome
if you cover up the arms & legs, do they not just become… regular gnomes?
In several threads the Mechagnome enthusiast Paxmillian has made several great suggestions for customisation options that could be added for Mechagnome arms and legs. Having more options for these slots would really help to personalise your Mechagnome and make the lack of transmoggable slots less of a problem.
My stance is not to make the slots moggable - as Furry mentioned, then what becomes the difference between gnomes and MGs? Their hairstyles and faces?
Instead Blizzard should take a mindful view that with every content roll, all players get new mogs, and they should steadily increase the customisation options for arms and legs for Mechagnomes to compensate for this.
The premise of mechanical parts is very cool, if you run with it wholeheartedly. Let us mix and match our arms for example. Give us lots of different arm options rather than 2, with a chunky and skeletal variation of each. Run with what makes us unique, rather than homogenise us into the same space as other races.
I understand it’s potentially a lot of work, but i’d argue it’s only a tiny bit more work than creating a new glove or boot model so long as the result doesn’t require completely new rigging. Given blizzard have really dialled back on their armour model volume (focusing on quality over quantity) there’s time to chuck us a few more hand and leg options over SL, if not more! I’ve at least brought ideas to attention in the thread visited by the Blue about elf customisation options.
Either way, in the meantime work with the options and mog. There are lots of good mechagnome mog sets out there, the trouble is people only look at the bad ones because of the memeish crowd pushing them. Every race can look crap if you don’t bother with their mog properly. It’s the same principle. You need to work with the parts rather than against them. Of course it’ll look pants if you put your MG with golden arms in a bright white leather jerkin with a green kilt. An Orc would look just as stupid if they were decked out in the same with golden gloves mogged.
But if you’re serious about it, it can be done. The Mechagon EMpire discord often swaps screenies and shares tips on mog hunting for MGs and Gnomes alike. This all said, despite the fact we work with it, I sincerely hope more options come in the future as to have such a cool premise for a race (one that changes themselves as they see fit) and to not develop that would be utterly wasted potential.
Why waste dev time on an April fools race
Because contrary to what many believe, the development team isn’t one individual who can only work on one thing at a time, and thus developing one race doesn’t actually stop them developing others.
Shocking notion I know.
My question is why are people so offended by players with different preferences getting something they want? It’s like getting triggered because somebody has a different favourite colour to you, because you believe that if they do, retailers will only start to stock their favourite colour instead of yours. It’s the logic of children.
They were testing the water with Mechagnomes to see if it would be worth revisiting Naga. From the player feedback though it looks like they won’t be making that mistake:
I still wish Alliance got Vul’pera and the horde Mechagnomes would have been an interesting mix up
Bruh you really fell hard for that bait
Thank God we didnt get more furries tbh
Now now, be proud to be a half-machine half-gnome abomination and don’t be afraid to show the world you voluntarily become that little freak of nautre born from the unholly union of rusted metal and dying flesh…
Jokes and mocking aside, why to be a mechagnome (I know… racials, but really) and hide it with a mog?
