I’m one of those.
I am more interested in grinding exalted with Silvermoon for the Blood elf heritage armor instead. I won’t have any of the new allied races unlocked for patch day, but I am also missing Zandalari and Mag’har still.

Also the Alliance can unlock Nightborne on a Horde character because Nightfallen is for both factions same with all Legion allied races, I dont get the rage
Have you done the Zand Trolls unlock it is on par with KT if not longer so there is no horde bias.
Unlocking Allied Races
Most factions require Exalted as well as completion of the related story quest achievement.
We have added the ability to track your progress towards unlocking each Allied Race, thanks to our attunement tool:
Nightborne : Exalted with the The Nightfallen and completion of Insurrection
Void Elf : Exalted with Argussian Reach and completion of You Are Now Prepared!
Lightforged Draenei: Exalted with Army of the Light and completion of You Are Now Prepared!
Highmountain Tauren: Exalted with Highmountain Tribe and completion of Ain’t No Mountain High Enough
Dark Iron Dwarf : Exalted with 7th Legion and completion of Ready for War
Mag’har Orc : Exalted with The Honorbound and completing of Ready for War
Kul Tiran Human: Exalted with Proudmoore Admiralty and completion of the 8.1 Alliance War Campaign and A Nation United.
Zandalari: Exalted with Zandalari Empire and completion of the 8.1 Horde War Campaign and Zandalar Forever!.
Mechagnome : Exalted with the Rustbolt Resistance and completion of The Mechagonian Threat.
Vulpera : Exalted with Voldunai and completion of Secrets in the Sands.
They’ve more or less come out in pairs with equivalent requirements.
It’s not that easy. KT and Mechagnomes require the dungeons done on that Alliance-character you have. If you’re unlucky, like me, and split it between a Reputation-character and a pvp-one, then you will have to gear the character up before you can actually start doing the dungeons with the quests you have to complete.
ZT needs 3 dungeons done your point is ?
In hindsight, no, no reply. Posting has been read.
You do realize that the equalent of the Nightborne is another neutral faction? Void elves.
That was the point here though, they’ve previously come in equal pairs. This is the first time they don’t.
I wouldn’t say that it is required to gear the character up that much. I did Loremaster on a priest character of mine, but did the unlock for DiD and Pride of Kul Tiras on a freshly dinged warrior. Beside the last quest requiring mythic for KT (siege) the rest you can do in heroic dungeons.
For the mythic Siege full benthic gear should be more than enough, and if you do not have the gear for Mechagon it is best to wait for 8.3 to hit, since mechagon will have a heroic difficulty added. It is also worth noting that with mechagon becoming a dungeon a lot of the boss HPs receive massive nerfs on M0. Doing the first few quests of Nazjatar also gives you a 370 ilvl weapon of your choice.
Having uneven unlock requirements is weird, but this isn’t the first time they do something like that. Tauren players had to play through the complete war campaign and save Baine before they could unlock their heritage armor (which was, and still is 3 day gated as far as I recall,) while Gnomes only needed exhalted with Gnomeregan to start the quest.
You simply needed the Rescue Baine-achievement at one side unlocked. I did the Gnomes first and needed it before I could start the heritage armor quest. After that I had no problems starting the Tauren heritage quest in Orgrimmar.
I think its because people on the Alliance dont want Mechagnomes anyway. On the other side, i know many Allys who dont have a single 120 Horde to unlock the Allied Races in there.
This is a ticking-bomb of outcry
but if u char transfer, ur transfering a char with the Mechagon Achievement already unlocked?.. or is the Questline specfically giving u a quest to go back in one?
But all the other Allieds (except for the early pre-patch ones) would have required them to have a character on Horde for their unlocks.
Horde Bias or not, people are not locked to a faction. They have a all opportunity to play that faction. Don’t expect to reap rewards if you don’t put in the effort to earn them. They had more than a year to get this done in advance.
It’s not bias, it’s ignoring the opportunities you have.
I did this https://www.wowhead.com/achievement=13517/two-sides-to-every-tale
And it was really good fun seeing all stories and zones from both sides .
if you mained horde this addon -> probably unlocked both, mechagnomes and foxes, just by accident by now.
if you mained alliance -> probably unlocked mechas but you start from zero for vulpera and can enjoy the complete grind from zero to exalted if you want them.
granted, it is not a big issue for me personally, cause i dont plan on playing a fox, i am still very glad that i made the change to horde to benefit from these little “woopsies” in the future.
Your douchey snarky attitude would work, if you couldn’t already unlock the Legion Allied Races with one single character.
This. You see so many ‘die-hard’ Alliance fans saying “I don’t see why I should make a Horde main, I hate playing Horde!”
Well, the good news for them, is that they don’t have to! They’d only have to, if they wanted a Horde Allied Race, which, they say they don’t so, I don’t understand here, is their complaint that they don’t like other people being able to put in work to get something they have worked towards, just because they themselves for some stupid ‘faction pride’ are shutting themselves off from getting the thing?
Because that is what it sounds a lot like, right now. It changes nothing. If I want Vulpera, I need a level 120 Horde, if I want Mechagnomes, I -still- need a level 120 Alliance! Now -if- you could get Mechagnomes on a 120 Horde, then I could see cause for complaint. However you cannot.
Regardless as to whether you can do the grind on the other Faction or not, it doesn’t change the inalienable fact that you still need to put the effort in on the -other- faction in order to unlock things for -that- faction! This makes complete sense.
People have had more than a year to level a member of the opposing faction to 120, beef them up a little, and do the necessary. If you can’t be bothered to play both factions, then you don’t deserve the same ease of rewards as those who do put the effort in. If some Faction blinkered Pride won’t let you ever select anything with a red background to the character, then what the heck do you care? You wouldn’t want Vulpera anyway!
I tried to level a my Blood Elf warrior on Twisting Nether a while ago it was LvL 49 or something already, upon killing a few mobs I said “Screw horde” logged out and deleted that character.
So, it is not as simple as you said. We want to have our own options ready to be served instead of having to deal with horde stuff.
Faction pride might be stupid to you but your opinion also carry the same stupidity according to us. It is a choice, you need to comprehend this properly.
Your logic is faulty, I could’ve made a Vulpera Shaman if it was an Alliance race but instead now Im gonna have nothing new. This is why we care. Actually I’ve got something new yea, killing gnome and mechagnome players all over the BfA zones, that is the new content we get via new N’zoth toy.
I still wonder whose idea it was, a gnome allied race. He was under influence of weed while making that decision I suppose.
When comparing the mechagnome racials with the vulpera racials - who would play a fox after that . @Aigø better than another elf reskin …
