Mechagnomes & Horde Mains

They are not, or rather, they could have made them customization options, I agree, but so could be said about most allied races. Pretty much all of them are just different versions of another race.

That I agree on. Allied races were a mistake, as the customization in Shadowlands shows that we could have gotten most of them as an extra customization option. Now they will literally be inferior to the main races in every possible way, as they won’t get any addition to their already poor customization at all, while the main races will get tons.

That’s how I feel too. As i said above(I think it was in this thread…), a High Elf customization ability should have been added to both Blood Elves, and Void Elves, as one example. In my opinion anyways. Alliance already got Alleria, which is as far as I have understood it, a Void Elf now. She just happens to still look like a High Elf, so I see no reason why the Void Elves couldn’t look like High Elves too, as an option. And, give the Blood Elves the same option.

I think many of us feel that way.

puny is right, mechagnomes were requested by players. by how many i can’t say but i remember seeing threads popping up every now and then about them.
the implementation, however, i don’t think i’ve ever seen requested like this.
if anything the playerbase asked for ulduar-style mechagnomes.

There is no doubt that Mechagnomes will be the least popular race among all races, they are worse than Fat’Tirans, actually Fat’Tirans looks gold to me now upon seeing this fiasco race.

It is strange to see some people still trying to portray it like there are many mechagnome fans. Hahaha, I never saw anyone stating that they are gonna make a Mechagnome character, there is none around me, ingame friends-guild everyone around me hate or dislike them and majority of them were angry at Blizzard for releasing such a joke race for Alliance.

What coincidence(!), the least popular 2 races will be from Alliance allied races.

So alliance has to do a rep grind from scratch while you just have to do a dungeon and you are Calling it alliance favoritism ?

Well I am Calling this a trolling post.

I not sure we have to do the dungeon on a Alliance unless it’s part of the unlock quest.

Oh I have no idea actually, but the whole concept of this crying post was just too hilarious to pass on poking fun at it, dungeon or not. Though not even having to do a dungeon makes it even more hilarious.

But since I haven’t complained of horde favoritism in a while, why does the Alliance get more neutral faction grind ? Better have the next pair have a neutral horde allied race to even it out

In fairness, over here, the demand for High Elves is actually quite small, the Thread has just kept circling and circling, with nothing new being contributed, for a good while now, with it always being the same people demanding them, -some- of whom are becoming less and less coherent each time…Did you know that Human Paladins are Angels, and that there are more High Elf Paladins than there are Blood Elves, because someone who worked at Blizz told them so, and that they would definitely be released in 2019…(Oops, someone needs a better crystal ball) and even the US Forum threads about High Elves have these massive goofs in lore, and some of the concept art, whilst pretty, is emphatically -not- High Elves.

Even then, same people idling in circles, mocking up models that look nothing like High Elves…

I don’t really put that much credence in the number of people who actually want -High Elves- as opposed to their Tolkein/Warhammer Wood Elf fantasy idea…
The number of individual posters on the US forums who actually -are- intrigued by Mecha Gnomes is quite high actually…

I’ll give you a clue.
‘Shill’ (dictionary definition)
NOUN

  1. an accomplice of a confidence trickster or swindler who poses as a genuine customer to entice or encourage others.

and…
‘Shill’ (Alliance General Forum abridged Definition)

  1. Anyone who deviates from the orthodox belief that Blizzard is ran by a shadowy cabal of Developers, who stick pins in voodoo dolls of Night Elves, and sacrifice goats at crossroads at midnight, in order to be inspired into new ways to punish almost half of their player base, and discourage some Alliance players from taking any responsibility.
  2. A member of the dangerous heresy of objectivity.

Honestly, people can pull the most ridiculous ‘facts’ out of their bottoms like “Only 12 people will play them!” (You know who you are :stuck_out_tongue: ) and “Less than 0.5% of people want them”. Over time, these numbers get passed around as if some sort of holy writ, and take on a life of their own, when it is objectively, someone committing the cardinal sin of confusing their own -opinion- with -fact-.

Then you get the “Hyuk Hyuk, Diaper Gnomes”. For a start, this is not America, the word is ‘Nappies’ And I don’t care what any of you chappies on the continent say, it’s Nappies! (I’m joking, perhaps the rest of Europe does use the American word) but apart from anything else, it is white underwear. That’s it! Nothing to be scared of, unless you are in the habit of stripping your characters down to their pants this is just a weird one. You know the female ones wear white bra’s right? That must be those famous Baby Sports Bra’s infant girls wear, eh? Or…just maybe, they are just wearing white underwear…

Honestly? I suspect it is to do with durability of the patch. They couldn’t make Vol’dun a Neutral zone, because right away that would lead to 3 1/2 Zones Alliance, 2 1/2 Zones Horde (Somehow this would still be Horde Bias :stuck_out_tongue: ) So they stuck with 3 and 3, which makes sense.

So they bring out Naz’jatar and Mechagon. They -could- have made Mechagon a pure Alliance Zone, but then they would have only introduced 1 zone that was open to both factions, in Naz’jatar. Now the thing is “Why not just make Naz’jatar Horde, and Mechagon Alliance?” Because both Factions would have had a patch of just 1 Zone, and -also- that would have been massively unfair to the Alliance, as they would not have had access to Benthic Gear.

yOu think people complain about lack of Patch Content now? Imagine if there had only been one Zone apiece!

Horde complaining about allied races??? When you got the best ones? when the horde zones have the first raid and the second raid since the alliance zones are meme filler zones??? When you got the race with modt customization of the game? (zandalari trolls)
We get the mechagnomes aka literally gnomes again, and you get the super cute furry vulpera with a rep that you all have already exalted from months ago… but you complain???

I think if you read the whole thread, as opposed to the OP who was it seems genuinely confused as to the requirements for mechagnomes, we soon returned to our usual stamping grounds of everything being Horde Bias and Alliance mains complaining that their own personal choices means they can’t grind for Vulpera…

Its been a wild ride…

Oh I know, I am just goofing around in a goofy thread.

Get off mah lawn, boy, thats’a mah job! Heh heh…But yeah, I know what you mean, but blimey, imagine if they had done that, a whole patch with just one zone each…blimey…

They could have made both but do a neutral race in naj instead of faction specific ones.

Yes, the mechagnomes were requested, not the trashgnomes.

Trash gnomes, diaper gnomes, whatever the haters want to call them, they are Mechagnomes, they are coming and it’s only a week away now.

I wonder what they gona do whit the allied races in shadowlands, becuse for me atleast it would not make any sence to have them locked behind a rep grind then, considering new players will enter strait in to bfa, and some will skip legion totaly also.
personaly I would just at that point remove all locks and let people make what ever char they want to, regardless of your rep, maby keep so you need a max level to start them or something for that faction, or just let people make what ever they like then.

Considering that ARs will be inferior in customization to the core races in Shadowlands, they should be instantly unlocked.

There is no doubt that Australia does not exist. I mean what kind of country could possibly exist with animals that have other little animals in their belly pouches?

It is strange to see some people trying to portray it like there are many people who have supposedly been to Australia. I mean never saw anyone stating this myself, and none around mem, in-game, friends, everyone in guild has ever been there or heard of it. Therefore it’s a joke when people say it exists.

This is the level your logic is operating on, right now.

Unless you have access to facts and figures (which thankfully we do for the existence of Australia) you need to stow away with the “without doubt” “certain” especially when you’re pairing it with weak backup like “my friends” “my mates” (Who cares, anecdotal evidence is the ginger stepchild of evidential enquiry).

Just be clear

You don’t like them, therefore you think nobody should like them either. And in order to portray your opinion as legitimate, you’re projecting the idea that you know for a fact it’s an objectively shared opinion when you have no way of knowing whether it’s true.
You’re like the seedy lawyer in the downtown office who starts every line of argument with “Well, everyone knows that…” and you just hope everyone nods along because you use words that sound like you’ve actually read up on it or something.
