That may very well be true, but the NPC’s still look cool and appealing.
Overall, most allied races seems to be lacking population(many probably aren’t interesting in scrapping their main, and allied races require a lot of work to access).
Tell me what race you would have wanted instead, for the Alliance?
Yeah its been going all over the circles. The void elves didnt follow the demand of High Elf fans (just look how unhappy the fans are with that compromise).
I just find it hard to believe from a statement like that. It could be handled better.
They are already in the game, in various forms, as both Alliance and Horde. Besides, we might be getting those blue eyes as customization option at some point, preferably for both faction I’d say, and I don’t even care for them… I just feel sorry for the fans. It feels like them being kept away, is mostly out of principle at this point. I see no real reason why it can’t be a customization option for both Bloodelves and Voidelves now.
You were told that the players have been requesting subraces for years and that the allied races were the result of that. I don’t see what’s there to interpret. It’s rather clear.
Yes, they were asking for actual mechagnomes, not junkgnomes/cyborg gnomes.
Sethrak, Ankoan, Naga etc. And please don’t tell me they can’t be a thing because of the lore. After the void elves they can come up with any excuse they want.
There is no way in the world I would have wanted any of those as an Alliance allied race. That would be actually trash, in my opinion. This is why you and I are on different planets when it comes to the allied races. I despise the Sethrak, and I cringe at the Ankoan/Jinju. The Naga… Couldn’t deal with that either, for lore reasons.
Good riddance we aren’t the ones in charge, I guess.
I have friends that can’t wait to play them, but let’s just ignore that, 'cause they are my friends, and that must mean they are totally unique beings that matches no one else in this world with their opinion.
Well, let’s see…The naga are a highly requested race, and has been since pretty much when WoW started or even WC3. So at least they have quite a left of support. Even Blizzard admitted that they were thinking of adding them at some point.
I can confidently say that your friends are a part of a rather small minority. Everywhere I looked, including the trade chat on Argent Dawn and Silvermoon, as well as some popular social networks, the response towards junkgnomes has been rather negative.
But let’s agree to disagree. The stats will show us who’s right soon enough.
And I don’t hate junkgnomes. I really have no such feelings for a bunch of pixels in a video game. Plus I’m a horde main.
Besides that, you are treating it like it is some kind of competition. If you don’t like them, don’t play them. That’s what I do, and I don’t bug other people for liking a race I don’t. I can’t stand orcs or tauren, but I don’t mind that others play them.
I won’t play them. Doesn’t stop me from stating that they’re waste of an allied race slot though, since they are likely not going to be very popular. I mean, let’s be real. A race that is lacking half of the transmog and wears diapers?
Cool, one streamer is excited for them. Very nice. I’m glad for him.
And honestly, I don’t care either. But if we had gotten some more interesting race than just gnomes with worse transmog options, I might have rolled Alliance for a change. shrug
