Please merge all PVE realms right now - I dont mind french/german/whatever all PVE players on one. This is in many other games like lord of the rings online and the communities are thriving. It will be nice to play with russians or spanish or anyone. The respective communities are welcome to create there respective guilds to stay seperate but put them all on one mega server.
There is no way classic can be this dead - this MMO is superb and i loved classic and i took my time thinking it will be like this forever… no expansions so i can take my time. Then you announce TBC.
I love classic and seriously the gameplay is so unique and the raiding i only just started is so great. Im willing to goto PS to experience it all. Seriously blizzard why kill your own game.
You need to action this right now. We already play with many on retail from russia or anywhere and there is no reason you can not do it at all.
Either that or just risk people that want to play classic port over to private where populations are 1-2k per server.
Seriously someone with a brain in the classic vanilla action this asap.
You literally can’t criticise playing in a mixed language server without it getting reported and removed. That means everyone could hate it, but no one would be allowed to say it
Most people playing on a non-english servers play there for a reason. I.e. the guys I’m playing with hardly understand English at all and are even less able to communicate meaningfully. At least that is their common perception. Some already stated that they will quit the game if they are forced to play on English servers.
Yeah this is an awful idea. Like above poster said there are plenty people that don’t understand english so they go to the server where they can speak their own language. Also classic era will remain “dead” until TBC hype wears off… or maybe even past that if enough people don’t go back. I don’t know what will happen.
I do understand this, and many feel the same way.
In Vanilla people organised language guilds. I remember all the time running into people from an Hungarian guild, and being asked to join a Russian guild often, as I had chosen a Russian sounding name for one of my characters.
Mind you, I do NOT say that all servers should be merged, I tend to be against, I just tell how it was in Vanila. And btw if language group servers are merged, English in /1 can’t be enforged as it is now!
I don’t care one way or another, as I belong to a minority being comfortable in a variety of languages. I’m not a native English speaking either
Blizzard has been silent on this topic for 3 weeks now. I’m going to cancel my subscription. I’ll come back when they merge all classic era servers. I suggest other people do the same.
Why should I stop doing something I find fun, because you’re dissatisfied?
