Will there be a merge when MoP Classic ends? There’s no sign of WoD Classic, and Legion Classic (and beyond) would require much more development. So we all know MoP will likely be the last Classic. What else could come after, other than a merge? It seems like the only option, and we demand a clear answer, especially while there’s still some FOMO stuff to grab and flex later on retail.

Honestly, if they allowed us to bring our characters over from MoP Classic to Retail, should not include items or collections, including titles and achievements.

They said at the release of classic that it is a different game and will be no link between the 2 games, so no merge.

I’m not sure if this is a rage bait thread because as others have mentioned, you will never be able to merge your classic characters over to retail because classic it’s its own game.
So you know what happens when MoP Classic “ends?” You’ll basically will be waiting for the next expansion to come out… So you’re going to have to wait… Oh my God the concept is unbelievable!!!
So like the other versions of Classic, you wait until the next expansion is released, so you can move onto that content. So you keep playing MoP Classic!!
I’m kind of trying to understand if you’re being legit, which is both concerning for you and for your parents, but also at the same time, you know, are you rage baiting, which I’m hoping the case because I don’t want the first reason to be real.

Honestly, because the question asked was from Blizzard’s research team, and usually stuff asked is based on more of feedback to go towards for the development when needing to move forward.
Now, if they do allow the transfers of classic characters over to the Retail Client, then there needs to be a whole lot of restrictions applied, including mostly when it comes to unobtainable items in Retail that people were able to obtain again in Classic.
And if they don’t go down this route, then they need to plan on what are they going to do to move forward after MoP Classic (since the question was about after MoP Classic)

If classic was meant to merge with retail - i would have quit my job and played classic 24/7 to get the Qiraji tank, Ashbringer, BC raiding titles, MoP CM sets etc.
Because it was its own thing i didn’t bother. But I would be okay with the merge if its not a one time thing.
Like give us another go at classic++, where we merge at the end of MoP - only difference being this time we know the merge is coming.
They have a history of claiming and marketing stuff to milk the players, but it was all just lies.

MoP classic released just a few weeks ago, there is plenty of time for a WoD announcement. MoP wasnt announced till like 6 months into cataclysm.
Because you wont get one, certainly not on EU forums, we dont exist to them.

They have 0 reasons to merge it, since they will make no actual profit out of it.
If they wanted to make profit out of it they would have announced it at the start so that they force players to play for fomo reasons.

I think its pretty clear that there will be no merge. This hype is player generated.
If it even happend, which it wont, blizzard would loose the last inch of credibility they have left.
What credibility would there be after WoD and Shadowlands?
We just started mop classic .why do you expect them to start advertising wod classic ? That is not how promtional marketing works dear .
