Method is back!

It depends: not all trials are jury trials.

Yes, as I said it’s just a PR problem, so they removed him.

I agree - and that is the root of Method’s problem isn’t it? It’s all about the brand - not the people

In engineering theres something called Root cause analysis. Josh wasn’t the root cause of this, the management were for not dealing with it.

While “I failed” Sco is still there this isn’t fixed, no matter how many nice vids they release airbrushing the truth.

But if they banned Reckful for years for acc sharing, surely they’ll ban Method for RMT?

I don’t think so, because even if we assume that Josh was guilty, I don’t believe in collective guilt. If anything I think dumping him without proof was a coward’s move.

This is abit off topic but all the top guilds do RMT, there is plenty of evidence to the fact, that’s just something Blizzard chose to ignore.

Doesnt make it better. Anyone who was aware of the RMT (which are quite plenty) should receive a permanent suspension.

This is not necessarily true. It’s only true under the assumption that he is incapable or unwilling to learn from past mistakes and failed to learn how to manage an hypothetical similar situation properly in the future.

Multiple million/billion dollar company’s who sponsored Method dropped them within hours of the allegations surfacing, that’s not something taken lightly in business there must have been some merit to warrant immediate action from them, proof or no proof.

Best of luck to them.

There are only subjective views on this, no wrong or right. Personally I’ll wait a lot longer before placing my trust in him or his organisation again.

This wasn’t a minor error of judgement or a mistake where you can shrug your shoulders and move on. This ruined lives.

As I said YMMV.

Meh it just world 1st race - play for fame and fun.

Not worth such preparation - they acting like they are preparing for DoTA2 TI.

Gl to them.

Covering up for someone’s behaviour like this is collective. And poor behaviour is more than stuff that can put you in jail. As an organisation you’re allowed to remove anyone that doesn’t share your ethics. Especially as an organisation requires sponsorships to exist.

It doesn’t seem to me they are in such position: Method is basically to rebuild from the ground-up. It’s obvious to me that regaining enough credibility to receive support again will be crucial and no easy matter.

Well, I hope they don’t get that support. We need to have longer memories than this and people need to be held accountable for what happens on their watch.

Some glossy PR bull doesn’t cut it for me.

But their not, its the same people in control whether on paper or not the very same people benefit from any success.

pretty sure none of the big sponsors they previously had, which included practically all the top brands in the gaming industry, would even talk to them let alone consider affiliation again.

I agree with never forget, but not with never forgive. If they realized their mistakes and prove that they have learned from them and become better, I have nothing against them receiving support again.

They should’ve benched him while they had a third party investigate the actual claims against him. Them trying to sweep things under the rug is just gonna blow up as we all saw months ago.

The problem with such accusations is if they are actually true then there can never be just 1 victim.

Again, the question is whether they can become better persons worthy of receiving support again or not. I believe they can.
