I’m pretty sure there will be a wow version for pc .They can’t chop their players like that , at least not at start .There are plenty of games which run both on consoles and pc , don’t see what the big fuss is about .
They already have console dev teams .
All they have to do is keep the pc one alive and running .

I am guessing that they will block additional bnet balance uploads, and remove token in near future in order to have “clean” players accounts for merge.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and completion of regulatory review and Activision Blizzard’s shareholder approval. The deal is expected to close in fiscal year 2023

So set your alarm clock for a year or so from now.

I don’t see where the issue is. Xbox have been compatible with a keyboard and a mouse forever, and gamepass is also available on Pc and going strong.
And if anything, considering how hard is currently yo buy a dedicated gpu (frack scalpers and miners), if i can play wow on my xbox one with a keyboard and a mouse i can only be more please.

Also, don’t forget that buying Blizz is not buying the games, that is the least important bit. What is more important is buying the IP of Blizz, opening to the possibility of many many exclusive. There are titles that will make wonders on consoles.

Personally i see this only a plus if they can manage to add blizz games including wow under the game pass + xbox live umbrella. Imagine the possibility of having something else to play within the same sub whe Ion “The Failer” Hackostas come short of his promises and gives another 6 month patch of korthia to run around into doing nothing.

This is most certainly an interesting situation. I wonder how does that bode for Acti-Blizz’s plans for the future.

We know they began slowly pulling away from France in favor to open new studios in Poland and Czech Republic.

The whole community council thing now seems even more redundant than ever.

Whilst this is of little shock to me always knew MS had been eyeing Blizzard before Activision merged with them I am of the view that this year will be the one where we can hope that MS exerts its influence as in how the people who work on the shop floor are treated and also sort out the real mess that is ongoing as well. I am aware they have decided to keep Kotick in place but that might not be forever either. We heard the concern from Phil Spencer over the mess they are currently in and I’ve got no doubt that MS will make extensive changes probably for the overall good in the long term.

It’s very early days to know the fine print and what the nitty-gritty of this merger will be but as long as MS fixes and brings life and the kind of quality back that we have so bad need of I am going to give them a decent chance to prove themselves. I am actually glad it has happened I mean MS has done fantastic things with Bethseda since taking them over as well so will just watch and wait now.
