Midnight Beta UI Feedback

After having a very brief play around with the UI in the beta I came across some very basic things that are missing/in need of improvement that have been fixed/added by addons previously.

Edit Mode

  • Scale/separate height/width options are available for some elements, missing for others that sorely need it

Boss Frames

  • Option to mirror layout - current layout with cast bars on side places boss cast bars on the left side, forcing the frames to be placed far from the left side of the UI if cast bars are to be fully visible, leaving dead space in the UI when bosses aren’t casting (Boss Frame image for reference - imgur.com/8nT0FWe.png )
  • Visual customisation options - i.e. ability to hide the default art, simplify frames, reposition cast bars, change anchors/growth direction

Cast Bar

  • Visual customisation options - height/width instead of/alongside scale, spell icons, text position

Extra Abilities

  • Visual customisation options - scale/hide art, layout options for when multiple extra actions are visible

Action Bars

  • Option to hide stance/form bar
  • Option to customise number of icons shown on pet action bar (missing despite being available on regular action bars)

Damage Meter

  • Window scale/size options beyond frame height
  • Option to reduce padding below 2

Talking Head

  • Scale options/ability to hide popup completely and move dialog to chat window

Menu

  • Option to detach Group Finder eye so it can be moved/scaled as a separate UI element

Raid/Party Frames

  • Name/icon customisation - increasing size for both would increase readability, especially in raid scenarios where both names and buff icons are far too small to be legible during combat
  • Buff icons - icons darkening with the countdown swipe animation makes them extremely hard to read, especially as small as they are currently
  • Buff whitelist - if the number of buffs displayed is going to be limited, there should be an option to filter out buffs which are less important to track (e.g. Mark of the Wild)
  • Anchor point options/layout options per raid group size - being able to customise the anchor points to prevent overlapping with other UI elements when switching raid group sizes is sorely needed. Positioning 10-man raid frames centrally above action bars/other elements with default anchors leads to raid frames overlapping when switching to larger raid group sizes (10-man Raid Frames - imgur.com/KpDVPzz.png , 25-man Raid Frames- imgur.com/XkOhXL6.png, 40-man Raid Frames imgur.com/lQc47U6.png with default anchors)

Personal Resource Display

  • Some special resources do not display - druid combo points appear after multiple relogs/reloads (all other special resources appear to be working correctly, potentially with the exception of Evoker essence charges)
