I’m missing reputation ( renown ) and currency come on blizz why is it taking so long …
I have a theory it’s just because it’s the weekend, while they probably have some weekend workers potentially most are just not in the office
its a code thing, im not writing it spesificly to you but reading the blueposts kinda gives insight of where things are.
they have from my understanding found the error but its not ready for a hotfix yet.
one of the issues that WoW faces nowadays is the code its built on is so old code that limits what they can do with the game which is why they have said in the past that housing would not be possible with how the game is coded. they seem to be updating it slowly but it would be easier to port the game over, call it WoW 2 like they did with OW.
but the case is: gms cant help because its code related. and if you have looked into programming, an “,” instead of “.” can actually ruin the whole script and is a nightmare to look over sometimes…and it is a weekend now.
Why should we care and why it wasn’t tested before it is available for purchasing for 90$

Some work has been completed over the weekend that should have fixed most if not all the remaining issues with the character boost service going forward.
In other words NEW applications of the service should work properly for all characters, including providing all the listed perks and rewards.
Work to restore missing rewards for characters that have used the boost already is still ongoing, and we have no additional details to share at this point.
Please note:
GMs are unable to manually restore any missing reward, including renown or currencies, opening tickets with such requests will not change this reality

For those who’ve gained levels with the renown factions that’s below the levels you get from the boost, will that just be wasted?
This is understandable Kaerlynn, but please allow me to insist a bit on the option to contact our GMs.
While I can not foresee what the outcome of such contact may be, I would like to stress out that they will do everything in their power to try and help you recovering the boost, or offer alternative solutions.
Should a refund be needed please do not worry about not having the order number, GMs can track the original order down regardless of you having specific details or not.
In case of a refund you may need to inform your friend about the situation so that they can gift you the expansion again - which I understand it’s not ideal - but that would be really all.
Alright, but couldn’t a GM grant a now working boost if you delete the boosted character under the GM’s watch ? That way I could delete the bugged character and get a new one with all the rewards.
Well the problems are still not fixed.
It has been almost a week that I can’t enter any dungeons and raids , what compensation are put for that kind of things ? Reputations and currencies aren’t that big of a deal , in my case i literally can only do Delves and can’t progress in any way
To the best of my knowledge that is not something GMs can do, especially in situations where a boost was obtained through an expansion bundle rather than a stand-alone purchase.
This is not something related to what has been reported so far in this thread, it’s a different problem not related to the boost service itself but to the character.
Please follow the link in this article to contact our GMs, they should be able to look into it and advise you on how to proceed.

I am a bit concerned because as I mentioned before, my evoker is having the talents/group finder not available issue (same as Adamo) and that seems connected to the boost.
I know in this thread the lack of renown and currency is mostly reported/talked about, but does that mean I would need to open a ticket and/or a new thread for it?

Those are different problems, for Evokers the issue is actually tied to the level 80 boost rather than the single character - so it fits under what is being tracked here
I can only guess GMs determined that to be the best way forward, so just to be on the safe side I’d say it doesn’t hurt to send a bug report indeed via the in-game option (if you have not done so already):
- Go to the Game Menu (Esc key by default)
- Select Support
- Select Submit feedback or bug report
- Select the Submit a bug tab and enter your report
That said, sometimes this kind of problems are automagically fixed with the regular server maintenance - which should happen in a couple of days for EU… let’s keep our fingers crossed!

Just to try and say something constructive: A massive number of issues I was having not related to rep/renown/whatever were fixed once I ditched the initial “Go to Silithus” quest for TWW campaign and relogged.
Thanks for the new boost update, no updates to others at this point but is there potentially a wild estimate of a fix for those already boosted?
Is there even a guarantee we’ll get the missing rewards or compensation ??
They said they’re working on it, so we can only wait. I can’t imagine they will just let eveyone who boosted have that part of the service left undone, who knows what the solution will take the form of however
I bought the Midnight Base Edition but have yet to receive the boost yet. Is this a known issue anyone else is having?
ok so an update for me, due to the fact that the boost dident work as intended. the marketing is off so the product given doesent reflect whats promised. this is a valid reason for a refund, which i was granted, as i re bought the midnight. the new character boost as stated in a blue post above that “the new boosts are working as intended” and i can comfirm that it did give me the rewards and rep that shouldve had from the first go around. its gonna be alot of tickets on blizzards end but thats the work around i did atleast.
So we had the maintenance in EU but my boosted character still doesn’t have the reputation etc… Is there any news for the fix?
