Midnight is shaping up to be Legion 2.0

How dare he?!

The travesty! And they get to keep BL on top of it?! Spoiled brats!

I will proceed forward assuming that you called me this unironically. Please continue.

Isn’t it natural to be stubborn when you’re right?
All philosophers pretty much agree: only idiots doubt themselves, because deep down they can feel how wrong they are. Or something.

Their quantity isn’t that relevant. What matter is how fast you could get rid of the grind part and start playing the game without thinking about it.

Shadowlands didn’t have an endless AP grind, and as a result, your character DID rely less on borrowed powers than in the previous two expansions.

Are you joking? Legendaries required torghasg grinding as well as m+/heroic spam to actually get the power to drop if you were one of the unlucky classes that didn’t drop from raid boss, conduits required a ton of grinding to get them as well as get them at a higher ilv and then you had soulbinds which were timegated.

You also had to redo this every season when they upped the ilv of things.

Covenants locked you into a specific covenant at the start which would have been find if they didn’t nerf/buff certain ones making you first choice the worst sometimes.

I swear you just make stuff up and hope nobody fact checks you.

You do make a point.

I have, just today, been having a bunch of back-and-forths with people; explaining how I am right and they’re just not getting it.

I am stubborn too. Maybe that’s why I can appreciate your takes.
Even though, I frequently disagree with them because they’re obviously wrong.

Ooooh the irony is so sweet I could bake it into a lovely cake! :birthday_cake:

:kissing_heart:

See that’s why I like you; you can appreciate a good poke and unapologetically reply to it with a quip.

So you will like Midnight?

Of course he will.
It’s going to be fun!

And best of all: Most of it will be above ground!

Only reason i’m playing.

im 1588% sure whatever happens in midnight it will be good :+1:

whit all of its good and bad things it will be fun

Legion has its flaws, but it also did a lot right. Class fantasy was at its absolute peak with things like artifact weapons, class campaigns, order halls, class mounts and the best looking raid tier sets of any expansion. It also introduced not only a new class but also 4 allied races. The raids themselves were very good (especially Nighthold), as was the actual story and writing for 99% of characters. This expansion also had an absolute ton of unique mount models, many of which are obtained via puzzles and other activities. Then there are the zones. All of the launch zones are fantastic, and I still think Suramar is probably the most impressive area in the entire game.

Overall, Legion was packed full of good content and it’s hands down the one I go back to most. Was artifact power boring rubbish? Yes. Did I dislike the direction they went with certain classes being streamlined/pruned? Absolutely. But you cannot deny that Legion had some significant Ws. They put so much love into it that it could have almost been mistaken as the last expansion for the game. IMO it’s in the top 2 with WOTLK.

Yes, and catering to the majority is good business, what’s your actual point?

And yet, after all this, I still had more alts in Shadowlands. What gives?

Also, I think conduit ilvl was disabled in PvP, so I mostly ignored that part throughout the entire expansion.
Perks of playing the right game mode I guess.

That is indeed a habit of mine.

Isn’t it obnoxious when the entire room is wrong and you’re the only one who can see things clearly?

I can relate with Galileo. It can be painfully to be right to soon.

I see no poke here. As far I’m concerned, this was a genuine compliment.

From a visual standpoint, maybe.
From a story perspective, why not.

But the gameplay? The homogenization?
They removed Tigereye Brew and gave Monks a copy of Avenging Wrath instead, where’s the class fantasy here exactly?

Wrong again. The good business move is catering to those who pay the most: the whales. And that’s usually the most dedicated players.

People ARE allowed to dislike Legion…

To be quite honest, Slapface… Not catering at all to the casuals isn’t good either. Just look at Destiny 2 where it catered to the most dedicated players.

Look at the Player numbers! In 2 weeks the game will be dead across all platforms.

So I personally think not catering to casuals at all is as bad as only catering towards the casuals.

for a mage it’s looking more like WoD 2.0

it’s kinda scary to be honest.

Wod is the reason why i completely skipped the entirety of Legion and most of BFA.

we’re looking at complete butchering of frost mage. but i won’t know for sure until i test it for myself, however i don’t have my hopes up, unfortunately.

I suck at a the game, and I like the idea of more simplicity, so your premise is correct.

So basically everyone who disagrees with you sucks. Way to start a discussion.

Players who suck now will continue to suck in midnight. Nothing changes.

I would argue that people who rely on weakauras to play m+ will realize how bad they truly are. And that’s not directed at the CE and high key community. Mid keys will be an adventure.

Who exactly are the most “dedicated” players?
People who have high scores? People who are in the Hall of Fame? People who stream their gamingsession on platforms?
We all are paying customers in Blizzard’s eyes. No matter if you’re casual or hardcore player. There’s literally no difference. The important thing for them is if we buy the game and pay for sub.

If you think that pleasing 1% of playerbase over other 99% (the people who suck) will bring more money and sucess, then you’re a terrible businessman.

So it means, you like to complain. No matter how much information and facts you have. You’re judging without exactly knowing what output is.

The issue is, all of you who are already dooming Midnight are doing so, without any relevant proof. You’re applying future changes and mechanics to current state of the game which is wrong.

And yet, Legion was most played and favorite expansion by majority of players in a long run.

So in other words, anyone who will like new expasion is labeled as “they suck at the game”. Great move there buddy!

Define people who are good at game - 3k RIO, AOTC, CE, PvP Rank? Yet again, this is categorization acorrding to your point of view. But does it mean, that all aspects of the game have to be developed around wishes of minority of playerbase?
You will still be able to compete in PvP, or push your score or gain high end game achievements from raid. As mentioned, you haven’t played the next expansion but you already know how it’s shaping. I hope your crystal ball is not from cheap shop.

  • Midnight is in alpha stage, it’s not a release yet and most important, there’s still room for things to shape, improve and change.
  • What you present as garbage expansion or a fail, is seen by others as success and something interesting and enjoyable (Hint: Not all people NEED to share the same opinion about stuff. What pleases me, will never please you, and vice versa).
  • We all hear the same story for ages - every single expansion since TBC is always marked as death of WoW. Yet here we are, still getting new expansions and players who still play (and pay for) the game.
  • I will keep my “judgment” about the expansion a few weeks after its release (no I am not in the position to judge something, but same as you can express your opinion, so can I).
  • No, I am not saying Midnight will be huge top omega cool expansion (I simply don’t agree with your statement - why, I provided explanations above).

Indeed.

It seems to upset some people but that’s a completely logical phenomenon.

Ahuh ahuh.

People don’t like being told truths when they’re still busy lying to themselves about them.
Not everyone can be a champion at the game, like some of us. And that’s okay.

But with that said: I still expect to like Midnight overal.
